    Period changes?

I was normal my first period after surgery (12 days after) but my jan period I started to spot then nothing, so we'll see how this one goes in around the 17th.
  4. I'm a little turtle, very slow looser but hey it's finally coming off. Sleeved Dec 10th 2012 down 23lbs
  5. A million times better! I wouldn't even wish the band on my evil ex husband
  6. Mine was unfilled for the umpthteen time due to complications 4month prior to surgery, was nice to have most the pain gone but I did gain back another 30lbs. But my revision was Dec 10th & I feel so much better!
  7. I was so happy they did it in one pass, I had gained another 30lbs in 4 months with the band opened while we were waiting for approval and going through all the red tape. I can only imagine having it removed, going through the pain or surgery, healing and doing it all over again with weight gain in the middle.

    So mad!

Yes sucks but think of how totally sexy youre gonna be for the next Super Bowl
  9. I had my band for 5yrs, sick & miserable for 5yrs lol. Slips, dilations, you name it. I was revised dec 10th 2012, they removed my band and sleeved me all at once. My band made it easy to remove, since all the sutures had broken and the damn thing decided to wrap around my esophagus. I had esophageal spasms for 2 weeks because of it but I'm doing good now & feel so much better

    Shorties...

How's everyone doing? I'm down another 6lbs since my dec 29th post. Little frustrated to only lose 6lbs in a month when I see so many people with big numbers. And being back at work have a co-worker get gastric bypass 2wks before my sleeve and she's down 45 and I'm down 23. Gonna start the gym next week with a personal trainer, doctor says in free and clear with no restrictions.

    Time off from work

My recommended at least a week, I may have been able to go back after 2weeks. I do outside sales so desk & car sitting would have been too hard on me plus all the walking businesses to businesses. I took 6wks off so I would be all healed up and on regular food to make life a little easier. Went back on Jan 22nd, that week wiped me out! Lol Most doctors are cool with letting you go back when ever your ready and will give you a return to work for that date. Oh and yes I used my short term disability.
  13. Hey sweetie, I know I was just as annoyed, I'm 7weeks out now and can eat a little better. I have some fantastic Soup recipes (like tasty pre op family favorites) if you'd like & non soup ideas to try if ya wanna to recipe swap. I love red meat but it doesn't love me too much. My doctor says give my tummy time, it's harder to break down.

    "Normal"

Give it time, after first month you start to feel like a "normal person" I was sleeved Dec 10th 2012, I finally do feel normal. Heck my fiancé and I went out for crawfish the other night and it was my first meal I didn't feel sick or like I wasted money. It's a day to day process that I'm sure soon enough you'll be grateful you took you health in your hands, diets fail us but a life change is an amazing tool.

    Post-op smoking

Lol well niccoret is not for me, I tried to quit last summer with it and it made me the b***h from hell. My friends and family were a lot safer when I went cold turkey for surgery. Went back to work recently and the stress and being around smokers plus the food I was thinking well I don't wanna eat bad food, don't wanna risk ulcers and the fact I promised my son to stay smoke free, and don't wanna kill anyone from the stress that I think getting a ecig would be the right choice for me.
  18. Candice I was there too, I stalled close to 4wks

    Hospital bag

Toothbrush, cell phone charger, house shoes, books/iPad/kindle. Honestly first day of recovery I asked my fiancé to bring up my ipad and a board game I love for the next day. He got there I was so exhausted and in pain I passed out and didn't wake till after he went home, I felt so guilty lol. So you really won't need a whole lot. I slept mainly, played on my phone and read a book, well some TV depending on when I was awake (mash, ncis, law and order lol)

    Post-op smoking

It can cause us ulcers, leaks & what not. I was a smoker for 15yrs (off and on, mainly on) stopped right before surgery. I've had a few drags post op and it was gross lol. Researching if there is any negative from ecigs and the sleeve. I'll let you know if I find out anything
