Weight lost has slowed..just hit 4 weeks..Is this normal?

Thanks for the update. I will make sure that I'm drinking my water. I've been so busy with catching up and then or department moved. I'm going to set am alarm for myself.
  2. So I had my surgery on 6/29, after being a Lap Band patient from 9 years ago. I have lost so far 21lbs. I find myself on the scale everyday, just to be sure that I am not going in the wrong direction, which I probably need to stop doing. I just came back to work this past Monday, and it seems that I am moving round more but I haven't lost a pound. Again, being that I have been down this road, I want to be sure that we have as many WINS as we can. I just want to be sure that I am doing okay ya'll. I go for my 4 week follow up with my doctor tomorrow. Ya'll know I am over the shakes, but I still drink at least one every morning, and try to get the rest of my Protein through my food, and if anyone knows of another one that's a little easier to deal with or other ways to get my protein in besides Celebrate? I've heard about gummies and other stuff , but I just want a little more input. Of course I get full quickly, so I stopped adding almond milk to my shakes because it makes it to much. I am literally trying to get in the 4 oz. per hour. So now I'm just mixing it with Water, which isn't too bad. Any suggestions of anything more that I can or should be doing? I'm watching how my body reacts to anything that I eat, which is a job in itself. Some of ya'll have had great successes, and I want to be successful too!! I am open and very receptive!!

    Band to sleeve?

Hey Shanna. You are definitely NOT alone. I got the BAND in December 2007. I lost a total of about 100 lbs. My heaviest has been 303. Well since then I have had a partial hyst, and a breast reduction, gone through a divorce and started my life all over. So I've had some "life" to happen as well. Over about the last 2 years, I've watched my weight slowly creep b up. Now I am getting closer to 50, but there have been changes I'm thinking as far as my body goes and hormones and stuff that have taken their toll on me as well. I begin to talk with my doctor about what was going on, because there are weight issues in my family on both sides, and I knew the direction that I could go in very easily. Also both of my parents are Diabetic, and my dad had heart problems which he passed away as a direct result, so I am fighting for my life, literally. wanting to keep my weight under control, my doctor and I had several conversations. As of this year, he had placed me on Phentermine, and the NO CARBS diet. Well the diet gave me the best 12lbs I could have lost, then I got stuck. Nothing happened after that month. knowing that I had the band, he began to tell me about how the band patients were unfortunately not able to maintain their success to the tune of about 63%. That wasn't good. So it seems like you were like me and got yours at the height of its hay day. I wont say that the band failed me, but I just got my sleeve at the end June. The difference between this and the sleeve, is day and night. I wish that I had opted for this from the start, honestly. Other than the food stages, and oddly enough, my Vitamins, make me so queasy. Beyond that , I'm good. I put things in my body to be sure that I have good energy, but I do get tired a little. But again, I have to put fuel in. I think it will be one of the best things that you can do for yourself. I still have the same benefits of KNOWING when its enough, or your body will let you know. I've lost over 20lbs and with my clothes, I'm already able to get into the things that I couldn't or they were tight, so that's a plus as well. I would say go for it! You wont have to worry about maintaining a band, just maintain you sweetie! Good luck!!!
