  1. I am schedule to have my sleeve around 2:30. I'm quite emotional because I am here by myself. My husband is at work and the kids get out of school around that time so it made sense for him to tend to them since I will be spending the night. My dad dropped me off at the hospital but because I choose to only tell my husband about the surgery, he didn't stay. So much going on in my head right now and tears watering my eyes. Praying for all those going through surgery today. I don't question my decision about not telling anyone. The emotions are for the unknown that I will face in a couple of hours and moving forward.

I'm on EST, so it's 4:30am here and I have to be at the hospital at 12:30 today. I feel the same way. I can't sleep. What couple of hours that I did get in, I was having crazy dreams. Good Luck to you and speedy recovery.

Good luck to you too! And I guess if you're not sleeping now you definitely will be later today/ or at least you'll be knocked out.

I'm a few days post op and can't sleep myself cause I'm caught up reading about sleeve related things!

  4. Getting excited and a little nervous, mainly because I'm a single mom and don't want to be away from my baby. But it's for the best. My surgery is scheduled for the 4th at 9:30 am. I've been binge watching My 600 pound life in anticipation.

  5. Hi everyone, I am new as well and scheduled for January 11, 2017. My concern is the days prior to the procedure. My doctor said I should start the liquid diet one week prior to the procedures, but I do not see anyone else mentioning this? Is this standard?

I am doing a 2 week liver shrink diet for the sleeve. Surgery is January 4th. The last 7 days of pre op diet is only Protein shakes.

  6. Hi Broove. I had a kidney transplant in June 2014. I lost kidney function due to an autoimmune disorder. I was on dialysis for 2.5 years. The last 9 months I switched from hemodialysis to peritoneal dialysis. That is when my weight gain started. My transplant doctor is the one that put me on the road to bariatric surgery. I am having surgery in January. I can't speak to life after sleeve yet but I have been down the dialysis road. Best of luck.

  7. Good luck and speedy recovery to you @becky1178. I would love to know how everything is going. @@wyominggirl I quit caffeine cold turkey. I usually had 2 cups of coffee in the morning and maybe a glass of sweet tea sometime during the day. If anything was going to trip me up, it was going to be the coffee because I don't drink it black. Also, good luck and speedy recovery to you and I would love to know how everything is going.
