IAwoman got a reaction from ChrisInc2 in CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS
I have a surgery date of 7/11 and the pre op diet is a low carb, high Protein diet. I'm on the second week and am losing well. I've been fairly open about having surgery so if anyone asks I'll be honest. If they give me any flack I'll tell them what they can do with it.

I went hiking!! I went to the Smoky Mountains and climbed Clingmans Dome. That may not sound like a lot .... But 5 years ago I tried this hike and I could not do it.... I didn't even make it 1/10th of the way up the trail before I had to stop and give up. I remember leaving disappointed. Well this year I did it!!! Made the climb... Saw the dome for the first time..... I felt like crying tears of joy!!

IAwoman reacted to Kindle in Soups with protein?
To help with the clumping problem....
Premix the unflavored Protein powder with a bit of Water in a Blender Bottle to make a slurry. Add this to your Soup after heating. Do not add to anything above 140 degrees because Protein solidifies when it's heated (look at a raw egg vs cooked egg). Its just what it does. I did this with dozens of different broths and Soups throughout all my food stages and never had any problems meeting protein goals (and had a wide variety of flavors so I didn't get bored)

IAwoman reacted to Dub in The absolute best number one thing to take to the hospital will blow your mind!
Naw, bro. I had my back scratcher show up in time to drive me home.
The absolute best thing I took with me into the hospital was a sense of humor. There were some funny moments that stay.
First off......you'd think in the bariatric ward of the hospital one could expect some larger gowns for the patients.
    Nope.
All us fat folks were shuffling around with our arses hanging out the back. Just want I wanted to see and show as I was making my laps.
I got 'em back, though............I turned my gown around and rocked it backwards.
    Damn rite.
Those pain meds & the open fronted breezy gowns had a weird effect, too...... Woodrow Wilson marched on proudly ahead of me on my laps.

I promise you--there is nothing to worry about! I had surgery on 6.1.16 and had no problems. I know how you feel, that you don't know what's going to happen on the other side. It's going to be fine!!! Breath and Relax, No Regrets here. I've been averaging a pound a day since surgery and I'm now down 17 pounds. Fight for It, it's so worth it on the other side of the surgery door! Worth It!!!
