  1. It's very interesting to me that some people are SO in-tune with their bodies, they just *know* that they will be fine if they hurry through the food stages or drink alcohol early. If I was that in-tune with mine, I never would have needed WLS to begin with. I am SUPER jealous.

  2. Deleted my status so I don't get in trouble by the BP Gods! ;-) But seriously - enough is enough!

  3. Oh, why hello there Onederland. It's been far too long... =D

  4. Today has been tough. It is the 6th day of the preop liquid shakes. My stomach has been rumbling and my choices have been right. One moment at a time.

It is better now. I added water to my routine (drinking enough to be renamed a waterfall) and did not give-in to temptations which are always abundant. Lost a bit more weight and feel better in control. Thank y'all for your support!

  7. After being approved a month ago from insurance, and calling the Dr. Office every day for the past 2 weeks, I finally have a date! August 17th, HERE I COME!

  8. I've been very nice so far but I'm getting a little pissed off at my Program for not having their acts together and ordering my pre-op testing! I want this done!

I agree with "Caribear" - the squeaky wheel doesn't squeak forever!

  9. 4 days postop, I can't believe I did it :)

  10. 11 months post-RNY today. I did my usual weighing/measuring/etc, and though I only lost 6 pounds in the last month, I did lose a couple inches. Plodding along now... :P I've lost 168 since surgery and at least 223 pounds overall. I have not made the goal weight that I had for myself at the beginning of this year, and I'm still 219 pounds, but I now realize that I truly don't care. I'm healthy, happy, and I don't hate the way I look in the mirror. Everything that comes after this is just gravy. :)

Thanks y'all. It is good to be on my way to the losers' bench. I want to be a starter. Trying to plan the success route from this vantage point. Life is lookin' up!

  12. Out of the 220s and into the 210s! I now weigh less than I have lost. Also, my bmi is not high enough to qualify for surgery. Here's a new progress picture! Left is a new picture I found, and it was sobering. I believe it was my true heaviest. Right is the fourth of July when we went to see fireworks. Warning - I'm in a sports bra and undies in my before picture. Don't look if you don't want to see that! :)http://imgur.com/wxCv8k6

  13. I called the insurance company and they still haven't assigned a nurse to my case for surgery approval after more than 2 weeks. They suggested the doctor's office call. Soooo, I called the doctor's office! They are going to call on Monday to request my case is expedited. Still in limbo - but there is potential action on the horizon!

  14. Feeling patiently impatient waiting for the insurance company to make a decision. It has been two work weeks since my reassessment and the insurance company has not assigned a nurse to my case yet. Breathing. Distracting myself. And learning more every day about the process. Hopefully, there will be an answer soon.

Thank you. I called again and the insurance representative (nice lady) suggested that I have the doctor's office call. She said they would on Monday and try to expedite. Progress...? I hope so!

  15. Two weeks post op appointment has me at a good point. Doc's happy with the incisions and my weight loss so far is more than expected. :)

      You are doing great!

  16. I have lost of total of 248.6 pounds, I now weigh less than I have lost. Just went today for my 6th month blood work up. I see the surgeon on July 25th. I hope the blood work up will be good and am hoping to lose another 6 to 8 pounds before I see him.

  17. I just called my surgeon's office to get the reference number so I can gently urge the insurance company to take care of me. My reassessment was 7 days ago and they have not submitted my paperwork to the insurance company yet... AHHHHH!

I called again today and they said they've received 17 pages of documents from my surgeon's office. The insurance company said that I should know something within 15 calendar days from their late receipt of my paperwork... by June 14, 2016 at the latest. What should have taken 2 weeks maximum is taking 3.5 + weekends. As a teacher. recovery is getting suspiciously close to the start of school. My husband keeps saying God is protecting me from something. So I have been trying to feel blessed.

  19. It's always nice hitting a home run with your SO. She has had such a rough week, found the right restaurant to relax and reconnect. The whole night was perfect. She left looking relaxed and refreshed.

  20. Supposedly "final" job interview in the morning for a job I think I really want. Once I have decision on new job, I get to book my plastics surgery. Can't sleep!! Too much on my mind!
