Or when she proceeded to corner me when I was getting my stuff and she kept running her mouth how I told her I wasn't interested. .. but I couldn't go any where cause I was half way dressed at the time. So I chose to be polite like I was raised and bite my tongue long enough to get dressed. And as I walked out the door I made sure she watched me throw every piece of paper she gave me away. I costantly have feet burning and in so much pain I'm usually crying by the time I get home from a shift at the hospital. What I do for my feet is take frozen Water bottles and put one under each foot and sit and roll them back and forth for about 30 mins. We don't have a date set, in fact it all depends on how long it takes me to finish schooling. Told him I wanted to have my rn before we got married. I went once to try on dresses and it was the most depressing thing ever!! I went alone and tried on 3 and none of them even close to fit. Cried the whole time. It's going to be a side effect of most if not all bc but with the pill it also doesn't take very long to leave ur system once u decide you want to start trying for kids. I'm currently in the same boat I had lost 20 lbs at 4 months and not at my 6 months I've put back on 9 of them, I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried while waiting on the approval from insurance. So this is a little off topic but not much, my mom had her wls Jan 28th, she did her 2 week pre op diet. During surgery they nicked my mom's spleen. Surgery took an extra hr, she ened up in icu, she had a drain in for a week. She was super tired the first two weeks after surgery always taking naps. Hey I'm in the same boat as you, I have UHC. I just completed my required 6 months of monitored weight loss with my pcp. I have a bmi of 64. According to paperwork as long as my bmi is over 40 I don't have to have any comorbidities but I was also just told I have severe sleep apnea. My last appointment was the 16th, my Dr was supposed to fax everything to the surgeon office so they can submit it to insurance. I'm hoping it was all done by end of day friday. I plan on calling them Monday and seeing if they sent it in yet. I was told it could take up to 15 days for approval. Waiting is the worst part. And I'm sure I'm probably over thinking and worrying a bit much but I can't help but wonder what if they don't approve my surgery. I'm looking forward to being able to buckle my seat belt in my car. Being a better mom to my son. Going to the movies with my spouse and being comfortable. Buying pretty clothes. I want to buy a corset without having to spend the extra $100 to have is sized up. To go shopping for my wedding dress without having to settle. Joining an adult softball team. Horse back riding. I still don't have a surgery date, currently waiting on the insurance approval. But I had my son in 2007 and I've been over 300 lbs since. I've gone back and forth over having it or not. I'm gonna do this for me and my son. But I've found what truly sucks for me is that the one best friend I really want to share this all with she thinks that I'm chicken and I took the easy way out. So I'm in my 6th month of supervised diet with my pcp required for wls. I started out at 380 which has been my hw, and I managed to get down to 363. I was so proud of myself. Well I got put in a boot for 6wks and couldn't do anything. And with that I let diet slip and started with the cokes again and junk food. Ever since I go my boot off tho I've been telling myself I'm gonna start over tomorrow and get back on track, I haven't been able to kick the cravings or to keep my will power in check these last couple weeks. I don't know how to get back on track, my mom suggested that I start drinking Meal Replacement shakes twice a day and then eating dinner. She said the shakes helped her cut the cravings. I've found some with 30g of Protein. Anyway, anyone else have will power issues? Or issues with unsupportive spouses? He always seems to sabotage me, I've asked him to keep his junk food at work as well as sodas but it hasn't helped. Ugh just completely frustrated right now. Ok so I had a couple of questions regarding the time frame for my visits for weight loss with my pcp. When I started all this I thought I was going to be switching from UHC to BCBS well I thought I had to wait a full 24 weeks to even make an appointment with my surgeon. So I called to clarify turns out I only need one appointment for each month for 6 months they don't count the weeks so I moved my appointment up from the 30th to today. So that I can get all my paperwork in, she said it take 14-21 days for the insurance to give approval... I went to therapy through my Bariatric Program to help with emotional eating! I just left being "cleared" for surgery! I can't tell you how much it's helped me - including non weight loss issues. I feel completely ready for life after surgery!Ive cleared my psychological evaluation, she didnt recommend any therapy. I don't emotional eat mine is out of boredom, most of my shifts at the hospital where I work is sitting n a little room watching heart rhythms for 12-14 hrs. So once I was put on non weight bearing status for my fractures in my foot I couldn't do anything so I was put in the monitor room for 6wks, and not being able to actually do anything sucked and I just quit watching my snacking. And since then my boss likes me in the new position so I'm there more often than I am out on the floor walking like I used to. And now the junk food and crap has spilled over to the house. And I honestly don't think it's too much to ask my spouse to keep his junk food and sodas at work, we drink tea when we are at home. It helps to keep my cravings at bay to not have it n the house. I'm hoping to be able to get my recreation membership for my family this payday so I can go use the pool whenever I want, since my foot I've found that normal exercise hurts too much, my foot Dr said I got the stress fractures from my weight and the fact I work so many hrs on my feet. So I'm almost 29 and this is the list of things that made me want to do this. Now I know some of this is gonna be tmi or whatever but if it helps just one person to not feel alone or helps push them to finally go through it it's well worth it. So I can't do anything I love Horse back riding Running Volleyball Softball Bike riding Roller skating Sitting at a booth in a restaurant Wearing cute clothes that don't look like an old couch fabric or that I didn't have to order Not being able to be the mommy I should be to my son Volunteer fire fighting Now here are the things that aren't so pleasant to admit to or hear I can barely put on my own socks 9 times out of 10 I can't tie my own shoes I cry all the way home from work every night I pull a shift at the hospital cause my feet are in agony No Dr will help us have a second baby I have to wear sanitary pads because my bladder leaks without notice if I suddenly have to pee No matter how often I shower and wash I still feel like I have a smell I can't shave my legs as well anymore I also can't shave my lady parts alone anymore (thank god for a loving spouse! !) I hate that my boobs sag I used to be healthy I was a size 12 leaving hs and then it all went to hell I'm really just fed up with it all. I had mine done at home just last month, so I went in and seen the Dr and my insurance won't pay for an in house test without an at home one done first. So a week later I received a small box with an elastic band that goes just under the boobs. It also has a oxygen censor that plugs into the black box as well as an oxygen tubing that also plugs into the box and u turn in on as you lay down to sleep. The next morning turn it off put in the extra envelope they send u and you mail it back and wait for a call on the results. So my biggest piece yet goes shoulder to shoulder across my chest it's a heart wrapped n chains n padlocked shut with angel wings. I got pregnant with my son at 19 and was madly in love with his father even after he ran out on us before I had him. Well before I could completely move on from him when my son was 4 we lost him to a stray bullet in a drive by meant for another house. I was devistated. And I heard this song which is how I came up with the tattoo design "From angels wings To falling stars God makes everything But unbreakable hearts" Figured if God couldn't make it unbreakable I'd lock it away. So that's my big one I've got a small red bird for my mom that says love, and a Chinese symbol for mother. I want tons more a Maltese cross for my dad who passed away who was a fire fighter, a tat to brand me a nurse once I graduate and a sister who lives 1,500 miles away. I also want corset ribbons up the back of my legs with pretty bows once they are all toned after surgery. Hey guys so I'm just about done with my 6 months guided weight loss with my pcp for insurance and then I'll get to have my first meeting with my surgeon. The only thing I have to do is insurance approval(which the surgeons office will handle) and seeing the nutritionist after I meet the surgeon. My question is how long after your first meeting with the surgeon did it take to find out ur surgery date? My last pcp app is June 30th, and my 29th birthday is July 26th.
