open letter to those who think they know whats best for us, and why surgery is the easy way out. so today i joined my first class of Water aerobics at the local rec. center. the instructor was this tall thin thing, at first she seemed nice enough asking all the normal questions and when she brought up weight loss, i simply told her i looked forward to doing this even after surgery because playing in the pool really felt good. then came the look, we all know the one you get it from those who are on the latest fad diet and its actually working for them, or long time vegans who swear it works for everyone. please do us all a favor and quit acting like you know me, quit acting like you know what caused me to get to where i am or that you even begin to know how to fix me!!! take your holier than tho butt and your preaching on home!!! no one wants to hear you belittle their struggles and triumphs !!! especially while you are shoving recipes they didn't ask for down their throats!! If i wanted advice from a yoga doing perfect perky ass suzzie home maker fitness know it all id pay for a personal trainer, oh btw I've tried that too, and guess what i still didn't see the results i should have. me being fat didn't happen over night, in fact I'm pretty sure i could shock the socks right off you if i should you all my sports photos back from when i played ball in school. I wasn't fat then and i loved to run, but that cant be cause I'm too fat for all that. right???? i was ok with agreeing to disagree and be mature enough to just walk away until you decided to open your mouth and tell me i was doomed to fail and this would just create more issues then i already had. first off you have no right to decided when i succeed and when i fail!!!! so fuck you and your high horse!!! you making me feel terrible on purpose while using the guise of trying to help me was low. you are entitled to your own opinion but that doesn't mean its worth hearing. i never once asked if you thought i was doing the right thing, because its my life and my body!!! i refuse to be bullied around by you and people like you who keep saying well if you would just put your mind to it and actually commit you could lose the weight all by your self. so ill leave you with the best advice my momma gave me " if you don't know what the fuck you are talking about or don't have anything nice to say shut the fuck up and exit stage left" ok sorry rant/outburst over

It was hard for me as well during the 6 months. Mine was over June 16th. Now I'm just waiting on insurance. During my 6 months my Dr have me a goal of between 1800-2000 calories. No soda, minimal carbs, and if I ate them portion control. Increase Water intake. Weighed and measured most everything. Increased my exercise to 30 mins a day 5 days a week. Which is hard cause most everything hurts my legs. Not to mention I was in a boot and on bed rest for 6 wks during my 6 months. I lost 17 lbs but gained 6 back. As for emotional/boredom eating. I've found gum to be a life saver. Especially at work when I don't have time to eat. But I'll try healthier versions of what I'm craving, or I try going and doing something like a walk or swimming. What kind of birth control have you been on? Before this started when was ur last cycle? A brown cycle is normally just old blood ur body hasn't been able to shed. But the fact you are seeing some red in there should hopefully mean ur body is almost rid of the old blood and hopefully your next cycle will be normal. So everyone's body is different which means it's going to process it differently. Some ppl take forever to get pregnant(years) or it can be the next month. As for me I was on it for 8 yrs and gained 10-15 lbs for every yr I was on it. It is also one of the reasons I have hell losing weight. I've been off the shot for 2 yrs now and still not pregnant. Crystal light does have aspartame in it even the single serve packets. I was checking them today cause I'm sick of Water. But I've found since cutting out soda most flavored drinks are becoming too sweet. I did end up buying the propel single serve packets. They don't have aspartame in them. However it says to add one packet to 16.9 fl, so I added two to my 32 oz bottle and it was still way too sweet next I'm going to try with just one packet. So my mom used the premier Protein shakes and she loves them, we only drink the chocolate. I'm currently 5'4" and 369. At my smallest when I was super active in sports I was 162, and I believe that still puts me at being overweight. I'm OK with that because I was mostly muscle from all the training and sports I was involved in... I lifted weights with the football team ,volleyball, basketball, and I ran & threw in track. I'm right there with you, that's why I keep pushing so much for them to get stuff done, hell I even offered to drop my chart of at the surgeons office lol I'm also worried they won't approve me, it doesn't say they require any amount of weight loss prior to having it but I've only lost 11lbs. So I had to drive an hr to my Dr just to pick up several pieces of paper work they forgot to send to the surgery center. The lady told me I should hear from the surgeons office by wed to make my final appointments before they can send off for approval. So I will hope see the surgeon and the nutritionist soon. I so get it!!! My horse passed away a few yrs ago, his stomach got twisted and they couldn't fix it. But growing up I could crawl all over him, and walk under him. Wish I had pictures, his name was raven and he was a black appaloosa. Living in middle Tennessee we have tons of horse barns all over, I've been wondering if one would let me volunteer on my days off from the hospital, just to be closer to the horses. This is one of my goals too!!! I used to ride as a girl growing up on a ranch in New Mexico. Last time I rode I was 17 so well over 10 yrs. So I just found out that my paperwork still hasn't been submitted to insurance it was just barely sent to the surgery center who will then send in it to insurance. She said she got it and will call me tomorrow to go over it all. Is it just me or is it soooo hard to wait??? Have you heard anything back yet? I completely understand and agree, I wasn't thinking when I said it I was excited over my last Dr app and getting closer to the final steps before surgery. Normally I tell no one out side my small circle. My mom, my son, my spouse and 3 of my best friends. Sweetie it wasn't like that, what I was getting at is there is a group of them that swear if you come over to their side of life it will fix all your issues.
