  1. I was able to make it back in the gym today! Mainly, because I was off of work for the July 4th holiday. I was able to jog for about a minute (3x) without feeling like I was about to pass out!

I'm down 87 lbs, 16 months post op, 16 lbs from surgeon's goal weight, and 34 lbs away from my goal weight! Lots of energy and very pleased with progress!

    Happy 4th!!!!

  2. Hi Pals,

I'm eleven months post-op..so happy to finally be in wonderland for the first time in like...never (jk). I'm a little bummed because I have had the longest stall and I'm wondering what I need to do to kick start the weight loss again. I'm about 20 lbs away from the surgeon's goal weight and about 35 lbs away from MY goal weight.

The stall has been about 6 weeks. Any ideas are welcome. I still do high Protein and I'm very active, still log my daily intake as well!

    Happy Wednesday!

  3. I have noticed since yesterday if I eat, things seems to be hung up (cause minor discomfort) in my chest on their way down. I only notice with foods I have to chew. meats, bananas, trail mix. I haven't had this type of discomfort since closer to my post-op time last year after surgery. Yogurt, scrambled eggs not so much.

Is this common at 10 months post-op and is there something I need to do or just call doctor( which i will contact after I finish typing this)?!

    Thanks

  4. I went to Wake Forest- Baptist Medical and my experience was ok/well. I only say ok because I had to stay an extra night due to the nurse not keeping my pain under control. I got sick right after surgery from the pain. So after having surgery on my stomach and puking a few hours later, of course I didn't drink a single sip of anything day of surgery! So I had to stay an extra night. By day two following surgery I was like 75% better! Slept a lot on day one with lots and lots and lots of pain from the surgery and the air in my stomach I was not prepared for! Lol

Once my pain was under control I rested well, but meds were needed often because the pain from the air in my chest was unbelievable!!!!!!

  5. Mine was required with my insurance. I had to have 2 visits since a student did mine opposed to an actual psychologist or psychiatrist...whichever one. Nonetheless, I was thankful for them as I have seen some ppl who did not have the psych veal as a part of their process and in my opinion weren't as prepared for the journey following surgery.
