    Problems at Work

Don't share anything personal with her. It seems she has issues and likes drama just like so many ppl at so many jobs. Keep playing your music and stay positive. I'm so private about my surgery very few ppl know. Like, my family and 5 of my closest friends maybe....It seems like you are a nice person so I'm happy your "boo-thang" is there to keep you smiling as long as 'D' doesn't poison her! ???? 3. Started my journey early March by meeting with surgeon & his team. Completed all psych, nutrition, exercise, medical processes by mid April. Surgery was May 10 & as of yesterday I have lost 26% excess body weight, which is 41 lbs. I lost 11 lbs pre-op (10 weeks) and 24-25 lbs post-op. Still learning what foods work. Some meats give me a tough time. My Protein shakes are my new bff Hope everyone else's journey is going well! Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App

  7. I'm not in MD, I'm in NC...but we can message one another for support. The liquid-diet is intimidating but you can do it and it really prepares you for the first few days post-op when you can consume much of anything. I had a really tough time with the liquid diet but were allowed a lean mean and veggie for dinner at night. For the two week pre-op diet. Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App
  8. It will get easier. I had a tough time even when I was released to purees. Heal well and take is easy! I promise it should get better! Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App

    The eating and drinking rule

I had chicken soup and it typically leaves me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if its because I eat too fast or because I'm eating & drinking at the same time. I'm only 3 months post-op and I had some this past Friday. Maybe it'll work really well for you, but it was not so nice to me. Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App
  12. Hi All, I'm 10 weeks post-op and this week I literally walked outside 4 days ago and the areas of my skin that were exposed (my face, forearms, and chest) immediately formed tiny itchy bumps. I've had several allergies since childhood and have taken Zyrtec daily once diagnosed. From Googling it sounds like I might have a Sun Allergy which I don't think I have ever heard of before but, I noticed my sun exposed skin started to itch and form tiny bumps again yesterday. Any ideas? Calling my primary care physician on Monday but trying to see if this is normal? Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App

    Has anyone developed allergies post-op?

Went to pcp & notified surgeon's office. It appears to have been a sun sensitivity from the Ursodiol. My PCP gave me some prescription cream from the breakout and my surgeon's NP told me to stop the ursodiol as there is no substitution for this med. Thanks. Feel much better now. Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

    Pain after surgery

Mine was horrible. It was so bad it caused me to vomit right after surgery because it wasn't controlled well. By day 2 I felt better but still had gas pain. They kept me an extra night as well. By day 4 I really didn't need the pain meds anymore. Heal well and feel better soon! Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App

  21. About 8 weeks. Consultation in first week of March and surgery was May 10. I wanted to have surgery before I went back to work from helping my mom with cancer treatment. All psych exams, nutritionists appts, & heart tests were scheduled quickly and I called my insurance company first to see all requirements. So mine was a total of about 8 weeks. I was done with all pre-op stuff in about 4 weeks but the surgeon didn't have an earlier surgery date for me. Sent from my SCH-I535 using the BariatricPal App
