I'm post op day 4, I'm having some bowel issues and struggling to get in my protein, but over all pain and energy wise I feel pretty good. I even ventured to Walmart today. Best wishes to everyone!!!

Okay friends I am so sorry for this tmi post but I'm 4 days post op and as soon as I put anything in I have to go to the bathroom. My information from my surgeon says I can take immodium so after going several times I sent a family member to get some, and the dosing reads after loose stool take one tablet and after every additional loose still take one, I took 3 yesterday and still ended up pooping my brains half the night, then today the same viscous cycle. My friends and family say I need to stop taking the immodium because I'm going to cause a bowel obstruction but this morning I literally had a accident in my bed because it was so loose I couldn't make it to the bathroom! I'm so sorry this is tmi but idk what to do!!! Thank you so much

My surgeon really stressed that it could be a issue. I had never heard of it before either. My surgeon seemed very sure it could be a real problem. I'm gonna mention it again, then after that just keep to myself! Thank you all so much!

I just got sleeved on Wednesday and I live with my grandparents, my Mamaw is a smoker and my dr scared me that I couldn't be around her because of the second hand smoke could cause a leak. I explained everything to her and tried to make her understand, then this morning I get up and go to the living room and I hear her lighting up in the kitchen. Idk what to do, I have fri mad who have offered to let me stay there but I have son and idk how logical it would be to uproot him for 6 weeks. I'm panicking and so scared I'll leak and it hurts me so bad she couldn't stop smoking for me or at least go outside. So now I'm hulled up in my bed with a towel under the door and my window open.

Finally got scheduled with my surgeon!!! Next Tuesday October 11th, and my birthday is the 13th happy birthday to me (having a surgery date)!!!! So freaking excited!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Once I submitted my paperwork they called within 2 weeks. I also have anthem and I was required to do a 6 month physician supervised diet. I just finished and submitted to Dr Weiss' ofc, and I received my pre auth for surgery within a week. I'm now waiting for them to call for my appt with Dr Weiss and discuss surgery date. I started the process in April. It's a long process but it's gonna be so worth it! Waiting for surgery date... I'm waiting for the same appointment. Everyday in like okay they'll call today! lol be had my approval for almost 2 weeks. I'm so ready to keep moving forward! Best of wishes! Hello everyone I'm still pre op, but I have a post op question! I have a hiatal hernia that needs repair at the time I'll be getting sleeved. I've seen some people say just the sleeve takes around 1.5 hours how much additional time does the hernia repair take? Thank you all so much! I'm trying to prepare my family. I had a written test with ALOT of questions, and also a small meeting with the psych doctor! The questions were fairly simple and I was just really honest with myself and the dr. He asked easy questions trying to find out if I was seeking surgery for the right reason, and real expectations. I have anxiety and depression as well and was worried, but it was all okay. I am so excited!!! My dr called and told me they had my approval for my surgery already!!! After 4 days!! If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all, I just cried today because I was sure they wouldn't approve me!!! And they did!! Just waiting for a surgery date!!!
