My hubby reached over and grabbed himself a handful just now. 😁 He likes bigger women. He's loved me the same for 14 years, from 185 lbs. to 261 lbs. You just have to keep looking and love yourself. Me and hubby met in a chatroom before online dating really took off. I think now that it is so popular it has changed the dating game, everybody wants to keep looking for the next best thing. You might want to try a Meetup or speed dating to get a more personal experience?

Humility and the aftermath. I am left with shame.
Ldyvenus replied to winklie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can get pretty repetitive, I have only been around a short while myself. There is a wealth of information for people at every stage, and we have many vets to thank for it. -
I had a stall for the third week, and I am now in another one. Looking back on my food diary in MFP I can see that my calories have been getting higher. I think my sweet spot is between 800 - 1000. I think weight loss is pretty tricky because you can't go too low or to high. Maybe if you had a higher calorie day once a week it would help? I am also worried that this is where I will stop. I see many people on here losing 100 lbs. + and wonder how the heck they did it. One day at a time. I guess... 😁

How is diluted fruit juice acceptable in a post-op liquid diet?
Ldyvenus replied to Jenniferlynangel's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
My first 3 days post op I drank diluted fruit juice. It took me all day to drink 20-oz. I don't think juice is a good thing long term, but the first few days post op it's the only thing I tolerated well. -
How to stop grazing?

I set timers to match my usual hungry times. So far it has helped me keep on track. -
DO GASX STRIPS REALLY HELP GAS PAIN IMMEDIATELY AFTER SURGERY
Ldyvenus replied to pastbandedsleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
They help with gas inside the stomach. They don't help with gas inside the body cavity. I took them for the first couple of weeks. They would probably be more helpful now, some foods really get my stomach rumbling. -
I am doing private therapy. I don't like to share with strangers. The therapist gave me some very valuable information that I don't think I could get anywhere else. She gave me an entirely different perspective about my "why", now she is teaching me some new skills.

Self Control with Food addicts
Ldyvenus replied to MelissaRose24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It has not helped in the least. I still want it all! I am talking to a therapist next week to get some help with this. The only thing I have going for me is restriction, and even that can be eaten around. You could nibble on your fav snack all day long and rack up the calories. I feel like I have literally committed to being on a lifetime diet with guilt and self hatred still prevalent. I still have to choose what to put in to my body every day. -
It's funny, around 30 lbs. Seems to be when people notice. I look at myself naked in the mirror every morning. I usually try to find something I like no matter how hard it is. I am 35 lbs. down and I look less bloated overall, and my face is much less puffy. The best advice on this site is to take measurements and pictures. It can help you see how far you've come and get you through the stalls.

When did your head hunger stop?
Ldyvenus replied to CocoNina's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am the same as orionburn, I am famished when I get home. This would usually lead to sampling as I cook. I am having a hard time with that and grocery shopping right now. -
I'm almost 2 months out, my head hunger is always there. When my body is actually hungry, the rumble is almost painful now.

I tried it a few years ago, hoping to lift my mood and maybe lose a few pounds. All it did was make me really angry. 👿

3 months post op, stomach noises
Ldyvenus replied to Heidijenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kind of embarrassing in a meeting. Sometimes it sounds like a fart. Oh well, at least we look and feel good. 😁 -
It was supposed to say fat.

If you choose low carb, your days are supposed to be higher. My goal is to stay well balanced and make protein a priority.

Revision... another question
Ldyvenus replied to SIPS in Seattle's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I choose the sleeve because I take Ibuprofen. Also, nothing was rearranged and reattached. That made me slightly nervous. I think people who are close to, or under 300 lbs. would have great success with the sleeve. One of the things I wish came with the sleeve, is dumping. Nothing like a little negative reinforcement to make sure you eat healthy. -
Pre-op pudding allowed, using skim milk ok?
Ldyvenus replied to Bon Appetit's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
They have Jello, no sugar added pudding, in the refrigerated section of the grocery store, they are only 50 cal each. I suck at making pudding anyway, and for being sugar free, it's delicious! -
Phentrimine vs contrave??
Ldyvenus replied to xoxococojay's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Considering drugs is what led me down the WLS path. The side effects can be pretty bad, but I was desperate. I decided on the VSG because I know once you stop taking the drugs, the hunger comes back. Now that I've had VSG, I guess the same thing applies. I still want the bad stuff, and I can still ruin my progress. ? -
I was approved by GWL in Canada, and my surgery was in Mexico.

Nuts, turkey, and chicken come to mind. That's all I got. ?

I thought there was something wrong when I could drink a decent amount after surgery as well. I think all of the research we do beforehand tends to make us think we will struggle as other people did. There are a lot of new sleevers who mention not being able to get even 2-oz down. Too much cold Water makes my stomach unhappy, but other than that drinking has been easy from about 5 days out.
