  1. Yes, I lived off the Protein shakes for the first few days. Even now, 6 weeks out I have to have either a shake or a Greek yogurt to get my protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Water intake

I am almost 5 weeks post op and I get 100 oz of water a day. I am at the point where I can gulp water. I drank 100 oz a day pre op. I was not able to get the recommend 64 oz til about 2.5 weeks out. I have not tried to drink while eating cuz I'm skeered. Water does not taste any different. 3. I'm doing very well. I had troubles with the anesthesia but other than that no problems at all. I'm down to one Protein shake a day and getting the rest from food; Greek yogurt, eggs, Beans and cottage cheese, some chicken. I start real food Monday. Can't wait. I'm using toddler utensils and small plates. Only getting about 600-700 calories but my doc said to worry about protein and fluids first. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I was also sleeved on 5/23. HW 260 SW 233 CW 212. I haven't weighed since my 17 day post op visit so hopefully my CW is less. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I'm 17 days post op and had my first doc visit. I lost 21 lbs! So excited. I have been released to do light weights and light aerobic activity. I can ride my bike! Still soft food til day 28. I got this! HW 260 SW 233 CW 212 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I never weighed myself before so it's not a big deal to me. I have a feeling though that might change. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'd like to lose 80 lbs. I was 260 when I had my first appt with my surgeon. After the 6 mos required for my insurance, I got down to 233 by surgery day. Today is my first post op visit and I have not weighed myself. I wanted to strictly go by my docs scale. I'm 5'6. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Damn protein!

It is just vanilla. It's a 32 oz container. I'm guessing if y'all are buying the individual cups they don't have 22 g of Protein because they aren't a full 8 oz. the container is black and has an NFL logo on it. I got it at my local walmarts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. SF Popsicles have a few calories. It's the only thing I actually want to eat and I'm already on soft foods. Good luck tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Cheese

My doc said I could have string cheese. I tried it and after chewing it to death, it was gross. I'm still just doing cottage cheese. I'm still on soft foods. Had my surgery two weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Wow, congratulations! That's awesome. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Exactly! As I was reading this thread, I was thinking the same thing. I hope everything worked out. My dh didn't want me to have surgery but he wasn't not supportive. Now after surgery, he's been amazing. I think he was just scared initially. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Soft food diet

I have done eggs, both scrambled and over easy. The over easy went down better for me. I've done avocado. I just did tuna salad for the first time and it was just meh. I miss the crunch of onion and pickle. I did some pickle juice and onion salt instead with a ton of old bay. I've done flounder which was good. I'm having trouble with veggies so I just do V8. My mains are cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I'm boring. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. My doc gave me a Calcium and a multi, and they are HUGE! I haven't had any problems though. They are called bariatric best. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Damn protein!

What is a bad amount? This has 8g of sugar per 8 oz. I didn't think that was too bad but now you got me scared. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
