Being denied due to weight gain...

My insurance doesn't require a specific amount of weight loss but they do say no net gain. So, I can't go over what my initial weight was. Maybe this is what your NUT is thinking about too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Post Your Silly Rant

There is not even enough space for me to write all of my rants but my biggest one right now is of people that don't proofread before posting something! READ it folks...if it doesn't make sense rewrite it and learn the difference between to, too and two as well as their and there!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Smoking

I had to quit several years ago when I had breast reduction surgery. My surgeon wouldn't touch me unless I was 6 week nicotine free. Which mean no nicotine replacement therapy. I used the medication Chantix. A lot of people can't tolerate that medication but luckily I wasn't one of them. Think I was on it for 2-3 months. Good luck!! It's hard but oh so worth it!! Nicotine Test

This is what I found online: When smoking only occasionally or you have a limited nicotine intake, the nicotine should be cleared out in 3 to 4 days. If you are a regular smoker, it may take 1-2 weeks; if you are a long time heavy smoker, it may take more than 20 days for a clean urinalysis test. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@KathyLynn160 I have tried Shakeology and Body by Vi and have not personally not had success with either. I feel hungrier sometimes after I drink a shake. I don't always feel that way with them so I do drink them for Breakfast or lunch when I'm in a rush but I have never lost weight while using them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Reintroducing foods

@@Renkoss I haven't had surgery yet so I can't speak from personal experience but I have some friends that have had the surgery and they all state that they have difficulty with steak. Maybe it's still a little too soon.

For the ladies - bra advise!

VS has some great sports bras that zip in the front if you're worried about slipping it over your head.

    Nervous

Not sure what they want yours to be. It's still not in the normal range of 3.5% to 5.6%.

  14. I had two when I had breast reduction surgery years ago. They didn't hurt but were in the way most of the time. Taking them out was a breeze. Like @@Cervidae says...it almost tickles a little. No need at all to worry about drains!

    Calling tomorrow

Having your gallbladder out won't affect your surgery. A lot of times they end up taking them out during surgery anyways because they find stones. Hope you're able to find a good surgeon close to you.

    Pre-op goals

I met with my RD last Friday and we set some goals for me to work on. One was to eat lunch every day. I'm a huge meal skipper. Any who....I'm looking for ideas for easy to fix lunches. I don't work so portability isn't an issue. Any ideas would be great!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
