  1. I'm wrapping our Christmas tree in the clothes that I can't donate and it will be doused in gasoline. I plan to throw matches at it because it will be one heck of a fireball. I will dance around it like the lunatic that am right in the middle of the front yard. I plan to have the fire out by midnight because those clothes don't have a future in my coming years.
  2. Yuck! I don't like squash. I've had it many ways over the years and the only time that I found it passable was zucchini and pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie or zucchini relish.
  3. Just a thought. Your family has seen you fail before and they don't want to see you go to surgery and fail again.
  4. Our home was completely remodeled between 2005 and 2007 with nothing but the finest quality cheap crap available. Who knows where that door could have come from! I also love the stains from the previous owners. They bought it in 07 and never made a single payment on it. The house was foreclosed on late 09. Thanks!
  5. Kiss my saggy ass! WTF is wrong with you? Are you really this crazy? Why do you think that I give a flying crap? Ummm, check it out as i walk away from your insult grandma! Wow! You really are ugly inside and you can't do sh!t about it. At least I did something about my problems. Me being me, I would laugh like a hyena on meth and then start singing I feel pretty in the highest voice possible.
  6. My 12 weeks is today. These are my victories during that time. First, the mighty scale... I've dropped 70 pounds! I even went to a Thanksgiving dinner at church last night. Next, the tale of the tape. Weekly measurements show me down 30.75 inches from my chest, stomach, waist, biceps, thighs and calfs. Non scale victories. Surgery in Mexico completely changed my perception of Mexico. I would go back for vacation. I felt comfortable and safe. I can still cook for a bunch of people and enjoy it without feeling like I'm missing out on anything. I did this the weekend after I was sleeved. As my stomach size has gone down I can now see more of "Mr Happy". My wife and I are both enjoying the additional 2.5 inches of manhood and the possibilities that it has opened up. I now feel like a pornstar! At about 4 weeks out my 38 waist shorts fell off as I got out of my vehicle at a patient's home. On October 9th I fit in a pair of 34" Wrangler slim fit jeans! On November 13th I fit in a pair of 32" Wrangler slim fit jeans! My blood pressure is normal! My shirts no longer fit! I went from a 4xl loose to a 2xl loose/XL snug. This is the same shirt. My wife can put her arms all of the way around me!!!!!!! My wife has made some changes as well and she has lost some weight. She now fits in clothes that she hasn't been able to wear in years! As crazy as this sounds, my poop no longer stinks! Sure it still smells like poop but before it was like death coming out of my ass. I even eat chili 4 times per week because the Fiber keeps me regular. I hurt myself exercising! No way I would have done that before. I won't say that I enjoy exercise but I'm actually doing it. I weigh less than I have in my entire adult life. I can remember being 225 in the picture of me with this monster backpack. I believe that I was 13 at the time. Check out the cuffed pants because of how short I am. The backpack was 100 pounds! Drawbacks; My feet are almost always cold even with thermal socks. My hands get cold easily. I've almost lost my wedding ring. I have a theory on the cold. My heart rate and blood pressure are much lower now. I used to have a resting heart rate of 85-87 now it is 67-69. That is about 20% less blood flowing through my body to keep me warm. My ass is so boney that it is uncomfortable to sit more than half an hour. I now sit on a thin gel pad... Some extra pictures. Hard to believe that I used to fit in this! This is my favorite picture of my wife and I. We took this before we were married in 2008. This is the same shirt. And this is that same shirt now. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w242/skylarkgp/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-11-20%2020.40.29_zpsydq39xbx.jpg I love/hate this picture. I love that my boy and I are both enjoying being in the garage tearing down this engine. I hate that I look like fat bastards stunt double from Austin Powers. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w242/skylarkgp/Mobile%20Uploads/20150425_115026_zps6c76pg4d.jpg Geez! http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w242/skylarkgp/Caseysfirstgaragepics045.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w242/skylarkgp/IMG_0099.jpg
  7. I personally would recommend waiting until closer to your goal weight due to hormone dumping out of your fat cells. Hormones can do crazy things!
  8. Interestingly enough I make the same experience with the private patients (German healthcare system). Of course most of the patients aren't really this way.I take issue with you're Medicaid statement.. I'm retired on Medicare and because my income is so low I qualify for AZ healthcare the equivalent of medicaid, and I'm grateful to have the extra insurance. So not all medicaid subscribers are not whiners.Sent from my SM-G550T1 using the BariatricPal App You are correct. Not all medicaid patients are whiners. I was speaking directly about the entitlement attitude. I also stated "many, not all".
  9. As crazy as this sounds, we invite more people. We love to cook and we find that more people means more conversation. Less opportunity for the whackadoodles in the family to narrow their focus! As it is my father in law is in the nut house and he will have a 2 hour pass to be at our house. During those 2 hours we are required to have someone with him at all times and we have to lock up all sharp objects.
  10. I'm 12 weeks out and I can't drink plain water without what you are describing. I can do Propel or Powerade Zero mixed 50/50 with water without issues.
  11. I did a church Thanksgiving dinner tonight. My choices were about 2oz of turkey with gravy, 1/4 cup of green beans and one regular size spoonful of stuffing. I avoided the sweets completely.
  12. Not yet. I have a friend who was a corpsman in the Navy and he saw me and mentioned it. I did a bit of internet diagnosis and went, dang. I had mentioned that somehow my man boobs and my Buddha belly were the same size.
  13. We all have choices. In this case it's cry, whine or laugh. I will laugh and perhaps have a sip of whine.
  14. I went through Trinity Medical in Tijuana. Excellent experience. They treated my wife and I with dignity and respect. If you want to know more shoot me a message.
  15. Great post! I wish that I could like it multiple times. Congratulations and I wish you success!
  16. I agree 100% with online dating and going out a lot. Don't get your hopes up that something will just happen and you'll mee the right one easily. I met my wife on match.Com but I dated probably 30 women before I found her. I first started dating that I thought were what I wanted in a woman and I went on some crappy dates. Finally I had enough of that and I made a list of everything that I didn't want in a woman and adjusted to find women that as long as they didn't fall in the "nope" list I would go out with them. I went on some really great dates. Oddly enough my wife is everything that I wanted from my original thoughts and so much more.
  17. As it turns out I'm hunchback! I always knew that I had a lot of weight on my back but I always assumed that it was fat. According to my wife I have very little fat left on my back. Looking at this side view picture of myself I now understand why my upper back is hurting all of the time. The proper name is kyphosis. There are a few different exercises that I can do to help from what I can find online. I'd be surprised if they help much and if they don't apparently I need to go find a bell to ring!
  18. I was sleeping on my stomach on day 2.
