It all comes down to the doctor and what they are comfortable with. They may feel that a long time of liquids after surgery is safer or they may just be a crappy surgeon that has had problems with leaks in the short run and they attribute that to what the patient ate. Who knows? Does that mean that a surgeon who is fine with soft foods a week out is better? Who knows?

Now I have to go clean the drool off of my phone... You look amazing!

You can neuter a dog that doesn't stop them from wanting to hump your leg.

Isn't the reason to have kids is so that we can torture and embarrass them? Keep it up and congratulations!

You are going to be on a lot of Vitamin supplements after surgery, for life. . I take 2 multi Vitamins a day, Calcium, B12, Vitamin D, Iron, fish oil. You must take supplements for the rest of your life as you can become deficient, which will cause tiredness. I had the sleeve done in August and it was definitely the right decision. Good luck
I suggest you quit the Vitamins for a bit and get a blood test looking for deficiency. I was sleeved in August as well and my blood tests are normal without any "extras".

Wow, what a change!

I'm also doing chili right now. Perfect for cold weather and easy to eat. It also gives Fiber to keep me a "good ol regular" guy. We do pork butt quite a bit but we do it in the smoker. Good stuff!

No pictures but tonight was smoked pulled pork, grilled onions and just a small amount of BBQ Sauce.

There is a big difference between acquaintances and friends. I don't have many that I would truly call friends but I've met a ton of people. Don't worry about friends, go meet people!

Once. I went to Mexico! So much easier than dealing with all of the doctor issues and insurance issues. The real bonus? I got to choose my surgeon instead of my "network" choosing.

Working... I will however be wrapping my Christmas tree with my old clothes that I can't donate and torching it in the front yard while I dance around it like a lunatic.

@ Hi question, are you taking statins? I was on them for 11 years prior to surgery. They have horrible side effects of muscle waisting and getting exhausted when exercising. It was almost impossible for me to do my job of walking dogs. I stopped taking them more than a year ago and still have not regained my muscle. My legs are better but I still have to take breaks washing windows, washing my hair, or painting, anything using my arms, no strength at all in my arms. I'm hoping I get it back one day. For me it did not start right away I only noticed the symptoms a few years ago. I was feeling like an 80 year old woman (I was 50).
I am not. I'm not on any medications.

I'm 6 weeks post-op and I've only lost 10 pounds. What am I doing wrong? I haven't had bread Pasta or potatoes and I'm watching my portions yet I am not losing like anyone else on here I see. I expected a slow loss what this is starting to make me feel defeated. On top of that , even though I feel my restriction I quickly get hungry again...
Why don't you post up what you have been eating for the last week. Maybe we can spot some ways to help you.

I cut up a 2 pound brick of Tillamook pepper crack into 32 pieces. It's easy, half it, half those pieces then quarter them, take everything and cut them in half. Now you have 32 1oz pieces. I add these to all kinds of things, chili, meatloaf, chicken and of course I often eat it on its own. I also love gouda and havarti. For some reason I have a hard time with cheddar.

This is a corporate job as well and I love what I do but for the responsibility, the on call and the fact that my guys have to have a commercial driver's license with Hazmat endorsement we don't pay enough. My company does a 3% raise every 13 months and with the wages being so low it feels like a slap in the face to see how little their raise is. There is a company that doesn't require and of that and they pay $2 more to start plus a guaranteed minimum bonus of $400 a month. They also only work 4 days a week. I can't compete with that.

Another idea that works is to mix sugar-free Hershey Syrup and PB2. Apply to your partner and treat it like an ice cream topping. Don't gobble it, lick it and enjoy!Wow, necro-post revivial! I know this is in the Ladies Room, however there is somethings that were not mentioned in this thread that is actually kind of important. So please forgive the intrusion, but it is done with the best of intentions.
Semen is made up of Proteins, fructose, and Vitamins. But they are in so little total quantity that nutritionally speaking they are irrelevant. The amounts of them are for the sperm, not the human digestive system to process. So the idea that it is a viable source of Protein or carbs is invalid. And the people who mentioned it causing dumping syndrome must have had the pineapple juice first!
I know we are all adults here, but I shall still try to present this as tactful as possible. The other thing that is actually important is the actual act of fellatio. The suction coupled with the motion inherent with fellatio will cause gulping and swallowing of air. This can result in mild to severe stomach pain!
So while I totally appreciate anyone wanting to do this for their significant other (you rock), don't be in any sort of rush. Take care of yourself and heal well first.

I have one of those "plastic Rubbermaid" boards. I have to say that I definitely feel it after using it. Will it give ripped 6 pack abs? I doubt it. Does it give the lazy people who actually use it a fighting chance? I would say yes.

I will say that I was surprised to be losing hair... EVERYWHERE!!! Even in those special places. I am a little worried with people reporting that is has come back thicker. I have a "normal" amount of hair now and I don't want to look like a hedgehog later!I'm not losing my hair, I'm man-scaping!
It's a solar powered sex machine!

Yesterday was the two week stop that I was dreading. I've been sick since Monday and my 5 man crew is reduced to 2. There really isn't a way for me to not work.
The good news is that I kicked ass! It was so much easier than the last time. I'm definitely going to keep up what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks. It is working well. Thanks again for all of the help!

My dad works for Harry and David. We ended up with $1500+ in fruit, candies, chocolate, baclava, cheesecake and more moose munch popcorn than I couldn't eat in a year if I started on Christmas day. I regifted a bunch, made my office quite happy and gave some to neighbors. We kept the gouda, some spicy mustard and the evil little chocolate covered cherries. There are about 25 of those cherries in the bag and I will say that at the rate that I'm going I might be done with them by my birthday in July.
