  1. Had a wonderful evening with my TWAW girls. This group has been such an inspiration. The confidence that i have now knowing i can defend myself, whether it's physical or with a weapon is empowering. Go look them up https://thewellarmedwoman.com/

Mine is a Ruger LCRx .38 special. I has a Sig 229 fail to fire due to a single grain of sand keeping the slide from closing. I'll never carry another semi auto after that. For years I carried a Smith and Wesson K frame .357. It is a nice firearm but you are always aware of it. The .38 is actually easy to forget that it is there because it weighs just over a pound loaded.

The gun give away is for a Ruger LC9S. That is the gun that my wife carries in a Montana West concealment purse. It is a nice little 9mm.

  3. My poor trainer. I did some research on weight training with auto-immune arthritis, and apparently you have to start REALLY FREAKING low. 5-10% of total body weight for upper body, 25% for lower. That meant I had to do lat pulldowns with #10 of weight. Felt like nothing at the time. Slightly sore this morning, but I'm not seeing an actual flare, so we might be on the right track now. Fingers crossed. I do NOT want to give up on working out.

  4. Why oh Why.....do people choose to have WLS and then insist they cannot do protein shakes. I don't know but I had the crap scared out of me by my surgeon. You choose not to do protein, plan on having a rough recovery and lack of health down the road.

  5. Ugh, last night wasn't a bad dream after all. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Well, at least now I can't eat over it.

Wow, it is warm in here!

I didn't vote for him because of him. I voted for him because I'm so sick of the same old stuff and I was willing to take a chance. Part of this elections problem (in my opinion) is that our candidate choices weren't ideal candidates. I would have voted for Hillary if I thought that she truly was coming to the white house with a fresh perspective. I don't think that Trump in the white house is a great thing but at least I don't think that he will be more of the same. Feel free to beat me up!

  12. was on the road for a week and came back to another nice little drop. had more carbs than usual by way of veggies and fruit while i was OOT so maybe there is something to the carb cycle theories. dropped another 3 inches in my waist this month for a total of 11 inches since surgery. 21. Why does the tiny bit of eggshell wait to hop into my mouth with the last bite of omelet, thereby ruining the whole thing? If it must lurk in the egg mixture, why won't it have the courtesy to get it over with a the start?
