I just walked into my garage from the rain and I didn't recognize my own footprints! I'm accustomed to killing the outside edges of my shoes. My footprint usually doesn't have an inside edge. Today I have a complete footprint!

Wow! I lost 4.75 inches this week! I measure my chest, stomach, waist, biceps, thighs and calfs. The only ares that didn't go down were my chest and right calf.

On another note.... i bought some size 6 slacks on black friday... and they are too big... I swear they did fit when i tried them on..... WHAT!!!

We got great news today! We found out Tuesday my SIL was NOT a candidate for liver because she was too unhealthy to make it through transplant. Well, Today her own liver is showing signs of improvement! They think that if her liver gets healthy enough, her kidneys may begin to function again. She is also awake, alert and may be able to come off the vent. Thanks so much for all of your prayers! Someone is really watching out for her upstairs.

Used a virgin hole in my belt today!

Had my one week class, it was nice to eat food. I thought that I would be "OMG FOOD!" and it was more like, "oh hey, food." Very happy that I can appreciate the tastes and textures of everything, finishing what I should eat and not feeling that I need to eat it all. I was the only one in the class without any hunger, so I guess I'm lucky there. Still no nausea, no vomiting, no pain since day 2, getting more than all my liquids. Looking forward to actually cooking tonight!

Guess what! guess what? guess what!!! I am now at a NORMAL BMI!!! OMG!!

Ate too fast...and my sleeve threw it back at me. Ugh

Had my 6 month bloodwork drawn this morning. I ended up passing out. I warned the tech that I get seriously dizzy and lightheaded after a few vials so they were ready for it. That was not a fun an experience.

Wow! People are testing my patients today. Good thing I have them.

Day 4 after surgery: getting all my liquids in, no nausea, no vomiting. Taking only 4 pills a day (three of which are temporary), down from 11 in the morning and 5 at night. No insulin for 5 days, perfect blood sugars before and after every meal.

Finally...Onederland!!

I am now just obese with no adjectives. Just 37 pounds to go until I am no longer obese. 139 pounds lost as of today -- 40 since surgery on September 28!

Well this has been the easiest recovery ever... almost no pain post-op in the hospital, and I'm certain the Lortab (liquid vicodin) I just picked up from the pharmacy is going to be completely unused. Already lost all of the IV water weight and down below my surgery weight. I'm now no longer "morbidly obese," I'm just "obese" according to the charts. It's been a hell of a three days...
