  1. I'm odd. Yep imagine that. I took a pen and drew a face using my bellybutton as a mouth and wrote "just a little off the top". It is amazing what you can do on a toilet if you are given enough time.

    Slurpee 7 days post opp

Are you joking or are you serious? If you are serious then you need to call your doctor.

    Cravings

Check with your doc but you might be able to used sugar free jam instead of fruit. The cottage cheese is okie dokie though.

    Chili? ( one week post-op)

I would be concerned about the spice on your raw, freshly cut stomach. If I realized that I should have asked my surgeon when I could use spice I wouldn't have risked harm. Fortunately I was ok. Good for you to ask first but you ought to check with your doctor and see what they want you to do. Then let us know, I'm curious.

5 oz of protein OR 10 cookies

Dense protein will leave you full and nourished. Slider foods like the ice cream, chocolate and cookies that you mentioned never will. This is a mental game as much as anything else. If your mindset isn't on eating in a healthy way, you WILL lose at this game and the weight will come back. Your choices dictate your success.

    Low functioning fat man...

This morning I had a quiche at my in laws. All I ate of it was the egg portion. Good so far. We usually do a breakfast and gift exchange, come home for a few hours and go back for dinner. That didn't happen. I ran out of my drink, tried water and my stomach got upset. Plain water still doesn't work for me! Dinner didn't happen until 3:30 and the ham tasted like salt. No ham flavor whatsoever! Pink freakin salt! Otherwise there were carrots cooked in brown sugar and butter, scalloped potatoes, rolls and a zucchini dish that had some cheese and breading. Needless to say, I didn't eat squat! Man did I screw up!

    I'm freaking starving.

Meh. I say we are pretty awesome for being elderly. I just registered for Zumba certification in January and I can't wait. I will, however, most likely to tie my saggy old tits up around my neck during class. Oh my! I just pictured that in my head and it wasn't how I like to see boobies! I need to grab my sweetie for a palate cleanser.

That is why I said reputable. My surgeon in Mexico won't do anyone that low either.

You might be a WLS patient when...

When your in laws have no clue of your real size. My father in law is 5'5" and 138, he wears 31" jeans. I wear 32's and I'm fairly certain that I could do his 31s. They bought me XL lounge pants that are literally 4 inches from my nipples. If i don't wear them this high im pretty sure that a gang member will think that I'm doing an initiation because the crotch goes to my knees. On the postive side I can unbutton the fly and reach DOWN to clean out any offending bellybutton lint. I'm fairly sure that they would have bought a size small or medium for him.

    STARTING FROM ZERO ... TODAY

You are 5 ft 5 inches, 183 pounds, you have a BMI of 30.5. Here in the states nobody reputable would touch you. Anyone reputable would send you to counseling.

    Eating out

Nah. I know that they won't prep the way that I do but that is ok. I just make good choices when ordering and I feel good about it.

I have a very deep voice. Think James Earl Jones or Barry White deep. Even when I was (really) fat, women would constantly gush over me and my voice - even if Mrs. LittleBill was present! She is used to it by now, but some of them get pretty demonstrative, and they are always asking me to "say something". The standard thing I say is "Oh baby, oh baby" whenever something like this comes up. I am not sure I am going to tell her you think I look good though, even though I I know it is in the most manly way possible. You know, just in case. At any rate, thank you. I appreciate it. If you can talk like Sam Elliott then you need to keep your dang mouth shut around my sweetie! All I have to say is "Beef, it's what's for dinner" and she is hot and bothered.

    HAPPY HEALTHY HOLIDAYS CHALLENGE!

231 still. A bit of a stall trying to change my eating and exercise. I'm getting a lot more protein (100+) and everywhere that is sore from working out went up in measurements.

    Keto

I'm having sausage and eggs for breakfast this morning. I personally am not a huge fan of turkey sausage unless it is wild turkey. I will agree that I think that the pork fat is what causes the issue with sausage. Pork fat mixes in well with game meats and I had a problem with bear sausage that was made with pork fat.

The most important part here is that you are healed at this point. So much different than newly post op people who are risking damage to eat off plan.
