Thanks guys, think I've figured out how to make my food diary public. So let me know if you guys can see it? For all the pre ops, my NUT let me do a no carb, no sugar, high Protein diet and I lost 16.5lbs pre-op if you wanna have a look at what I was eating She also told me that it's important to have fat in your diet so then your body doesn't go into starvation mode.

I use MyFitnessPal and would love some friends on there that use bariatric ways of eating. All my friends on there have no idea about it and what it entails lol. My username is jobey84. Anyone that doesn't mind adding me or visa versa would be awesome

I'm having mine done on June 7th too, so excited!! Not long now!! I'm freaked out too and nervous but I just keep thinking about what I will look this time next year my numbers
Height - 186cm or 6'3"ish
High weight - 140kg or 310lbs
Current weight - 135kg or 297lbs
Goal weight - 75kg or 165lbs

Hey, I was wondering if anyone else feels like this?? I live in Australia and until a couple of months ago I have no fricking idea what bariatric surgery was!!
I'm pre-op, having my surgery in 4 days (excited and nervous) and I feel like I'm walking around with this giant, awesome secret. Even though I would never do this, cause it's rude. But every time I see someone who's obese or overweight I want to tell them about it and I keep thinking about a number of people I know who have dropped a fuckload of weight in the last couple of years and have maintained it! Do they know about this secret???
Does or did anyone else feel this way??? Or am I just a weirdo??

I have told almost all of my immediate family and friends but that's because I had some other circumstances surrounding my decision and also a health problem which meant that if I kept putting on weight at the rate that I did it literally would have killed me. The only people I haven't been up front with are my work colleagues, other than 2 who I'm really close to.
I think that I'll decide whether to be honest or not on a case by case basis. However if any of my friends that don't know ask me and they're overweight I'm going to be honest, so they too know that starving yourself and dieting forever isn't their only option.
People who think this is a cop out obviously have no freaking idea!! This is a drastic, drastic life style change and not an easy one!!

I am also concerned about loose skin but don't know what it will look like yet as my surgery's not till June 7th. I suppose I'm just worried about telling the wrong person.
I've been pretty up front with everyone about why I'm having WLS. I just know that with my other medical problem I also had to have an operation and have scars from that too. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see. It's just so hard to know if someone will be supportive or not. I have a lot of information to get out before I even think about someone else seeing me naked lol and if I really like them I don't want to scare them away.
