  1. My desire to eat is so strong today!  And I'm just 6 days post op.  :47_tired_face:    I need help!  How do you guys handle the cravings?  Do they go away?

I was sleeved 07/20 and I have been craving fruit like crazy! Yogurts have helped a bit.

  2. Just got home from the hospital!  Be prepared, sleevers, for some uncomfort the day of surgery.  Day 2 has been much better.  My only complaint is the stomach cramps.  They hurt but they're not long in duration.  Doc says it's normal.

  3. Tomorrow's my surgery day.  God, I hope I can eat the right way and permanently lose this weight.

  4. Well, my travel buddy bailed on me pretty last minute... so now I have no idea what the plan is. :1310_thumbsup_tone1:

  5. Sooo...I decided to keep a pair of brand new dress pants that I've never worn from the past two years (that I could also never wear due to them being way too small) for when I need a pair to wear. I decided to try them on this morning (for an important appointment this week) and they are now too big! Lol. :P

  6. I had my first post op appointment on 07-31. I lost 26 pounds in 12 days. That was hard to believe! So far, I am feeling well. I am off my cholesterol and diabetes medication since the morning of Surgery. I'm still on the liquid diet for a couple more days. Can't wait to switch things up a bit. I'm a little tired of all the shakes. lol

  7. Sleeved this past Monday. The first 24 hours were just awful but normal, I guess. Got way better yesterday. I decided to stay the one extra night. Ins paid for it and I wanted to use what attention I could get medically and have a small break before heading home to three young girls. Lol. The incision site where they stiched my muscle, is very sensitive and hurts when I cough/laugh, so I'm looking to get a smaller binder to help put some pressure on it. Gas pain wasn't too bad, just burped everything out. Overall, I feel pretty good. Could use a nap though. Just waiting for my discharge papers. 😊

  8. Best part of today...find out I only have a $497 copay and not $2000.  :)

  9. Hearing stories and seeing pics are motivating and inspiring. But actually seeing someone in the flesh a few months later really puts it in to perspective. I saw an acquaintance tonight at church. Didn't get to talk, but I had to do a double take because I honestly thought she was a different person. Wow! ...and she had a big beaming smile on. 😊 Love it!!!

This is very true. My friend had surgery a few years ago. We both went our own ways for a bit (due to work and life). When I saw her a year after I was amazed. She was a new person! I couldn't believe it. She was so happy. I wish I would have not been afraid of the surgery back then. We could have done it together. Now i'm in the process and regret not doing it sooner.

  10. Just stated my 2 week liquid diet today!  surgery date 3/14/17!  I'm so excited I am one more day closer to getting this band out!!
