My desire to eat is so strong today! And I'm just 6 days post op. I need help! How do you guys handle the cravings? Do they go away?

Just got home from the hospital! Be prepared, sleevers, for some uncomfort the day of surgery. Day 2 has been much better. My only complaint is the stomach cramps. They hurt but they're not long in duration. Doc says it's normal.

Tomorrow's my surgery day. God, I hope I can eat the right way and permanently lose this weight.

Well, my travel buddy bailed on me pretty last minute... so now I have no idea what the plan is.

Sooo...I decided to keep a pair of brand new dress pants that I've never worn from the past two years (that I could also never wear due to them being way too small) for when I need a pair to wear. I decided to try them on this morning (for an important appointment this week) and they are now too big! Lol.

I had my first post op appointment on 07-31. I lost 26 pounds in 12 days. That was hard to believe! So far, I am feeling well. I am off my cholesterol and diabetes medication since the morning of Surgery. I'm still on the liquid diet for a couple more days. Can't wait to switch things up a bit. I'm a little tired of all the shakes. lol

Sleeved this past Monday. The first 24 hours were just awful but normal, I guess. Got way better yesterday. I decided to stay the one extra night. Ins paid for it and I wanted to use what attention I could get medically and have a small break before heading home to three young girls. Lol. The incision site where they stiched my muscle, is very sensitive and hurts when I cough/laugh, so I'm looking to get a smaller binder to help put some pressure on it. Gas pain wasn't too bad, just burped everything out. Overall, I feel pretty good. Could use a nap though. Just waiting for my discharge papers. 😊

Hearing stories and seeing pics are motivating and inspiring. But actually seeing someone in the flesh a few months later really puts it in to perspective. I saw an acquaintance tonight at church. Didn't get to talk, but I had to do a double take because I honestly thought she was a different person. Wow! ...and she had a big beaming smile on. 😊 Love it!!!

This is very true. My friend had surgery a few years ago. We both went our own ways for a bit (due to work and life). When I saw her a year after I was amazed. She was a new person! I couldn't believe it. She was so happy. I wish I would have not been afraid of the surgery back then. We could have done it together. Now i'm in the process and regret not doing it sooner.
