How fast can you return to work ?

I was forced to go back to work after 2 weeks and it wasn't enough for me it just made my healing take longer. Fatigue and weakness from a lack of food was a factor. I think a minimum of 4 weeks is good Sent from my SM-G928C using BariatricPal mobile app

Tips on how to eat more slowly

Is 45 seconds between bites enough or should you wait more? Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App
  5. I'm very nearly 4 months post op. I have good days and bad days. My bad days are mainly when I have foamies (slime) and either feel like I'm going to throw up for an hour after I eat and get better after tons of belching or actually throw up. I figured this happens to me when I eat too quickly or maybe just a tad too much. As much as I try I can't seem to slow down when eating (bad eating habits from my obese past). Anybody have any tips on how to slow down? I've tried putting my fork down between mouthfuls unsuccwsafully and have recently downloaded an app. Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App

    Sweats after eating

I'm 3 months post op a day this has started happening to me in the last 2 weeks...I get really hot and my head feels like it's on fire..I feel dizzy too. I have learnt to wait 20 mins or so and let it pass but I guess my eating habits need to be rewired (eat slower, eat less). It's hard when I'm barely eating anything. Things you wish you'd known.

What is food revulsion? What else has happened? I'm 8 weeks post op and haven't heard of these either Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App

    Things you wish you'd known.

I'm 8 weeks post op. What you should know is give yourself time to recover... I was forced to go back to work 2 weeks post op and it made me feel so much worse. The other thing to know is you will have feelings of regret because you'll feel bad and you will have low moments because you can't eat at first but you have to know it gets better. I feel so much better now and I know it will only get better just keep reminding yourself that. Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App

    Stall

I'm nearly 7 weeks post op and I stalled about 2 weeks ago. I know I should be going to the gym now but my current situation at work doesn't allow for that just yet. What's the best thing to do until I can start exercising in a couple of weeks? Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App
  14. I got my sleeve on May 15 so that makes me nearly 7 weeks post op. During the day as I'm at work and am too busy I usually eat light foods such as yoghurt cheese or turkey slices and melon. At night when I'm home I cook for my husband and eat what the doctor has said is ok for me e.g. eggs, mince meat, fish, veggies etc something that has been cooked... however my portions are really small and as soon as I eat I feel gasses (bubbles) stuck in my chest and I'll feel like I've eaten a whole lamb. For the foods that sit heavy in my stomach I don't bother trying them again. But this happens every evening no matter what I eat, i get abdominal pain and I either have to lay down straight away or walk around until the gases are all out (lots and lots of burping) and the uncomfortable feelings goes away. I haven't vomited yet but I feel really sick. It takes about 45 minutes to subside. Has anyone else had this? What am I doing wrong? Sent from my SM-G928C using the BariatricPal App
