I’m glad I’m not the only that feels this!

I didn’t have GERD/ acid reflux until after the sleeve. I ended up with 4 ulcers in my esophagus. I just had revision surgery to the gastric bypass on Monday.

Mine is sore on the lower right! Getting up and down is what really hurts. Anyone else like this? Oh, and coughing is a killer.

I had the gastric bypass and omg it hurts...especially my low left side. My surgery was on Monday 6/24, and was hoping to feel better.

My GERD/acid reflux was terrible after getting the sleeve 3 years ago. I ended up with 4 ulcers in my esophagus. I just had a revision surgery to the bypass yesterday and so glad I made this choice. On 06/24/2019 at 18:15, Superpharm01 said:
Getting my surgery on August 2nd. Still unsure about getting a sleeve or a bypass. I’m 5’2’’ , 235 pounds (bmi of 43) with sleep apnea and acid reflux. My doctor said I could get either surgery, but the sleeve could increase the acid reflux. I’m worried about the dumping with the bypass. I’ve heard that with the sleeve, the surgeon removes the part of the stomach that sends the hungry signals. Whats your opinions?vovo2013 reacted to this -
I just had surgery yesterday and ouch, I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck! How is everyone feeling? I’ve been up and walking around since yesterday after my surgery and I think it’s catching up to me a bit. Is the first week the hardest?
-
Thanks! I’m headed home. I took a little bit of meds last night to help me sleep. I’ve been up walking this morning and feel good...just sore but not bad.On 06/25/2019 at 08:46, Frustr8 said:
Knew you were Strong and Comitted, proud of You Yesterday, proud of You Today! But if you do feel the need later, don't just tough it out, take SOMETHING, you don't have to be a Strong Viking when a Surgical Bulldozer just rolled over YOU! And I forecast a Super and Superior Recovery for it all!❤😝❤ -
Thanks, Nancy. Today has been pretty good over all. I’m in some pin but nothing crazy. I haven’t had to take any pain meds.On 06/24/2019 at 10:53, NancyLF said:

✍️ My surgery is tomorrow too. I just had to wash off all the antiseptic wipes because I forgot no shaving 24 hr rule and shaved in the shower tonight! I was itching all over. I am wide awake and have to be at the hospital for 5:30 am HST. No sleep for me tonight either I guess. Prayers for all of us!

Hi guys,
I started my pre-op diet last week. I can have 1 healthy meal a day and shakes the rest. My calorie intake can be no more than 1200. I had lost 5lbs when I weighed in on Friday, but when I weighed this morning I gained 3 lbs. back?!? I don’t get what’s going on since I’m following the diet and not having more than 1200 calories. Anyone experiencing this? -
I have to do my pre-op diet for 2 weeks. The first night I had a massive headache That has finally gone away. It is interesting that each doctor prescribes a different pre-op diet for everybody.

I’ve my weight back as well. I’m nervous about this surgery
-
Yes, I had the sleeve done in May of 2016. After that surgery I had reflux/GERD as well as 4 ulcers in my esophagus. If I don’t my meds for the reflux/GERD then I’m miserable. I just started my pre op diet yesterday and it’s challenging.
-
I’m with you! I’m having mine done on the 24th.
-
I’m having the bypass done due to reflux/GERD and hiatal hernia. After I got my sleeve I started getting severe heart burn and ended up with 4 ulcers in my esophagus. So I decided on the surgery.

Hi all,
I’m having a revision surgery done at the end of this month. I had the sleeve back in May 2016 and from that I have severe GERD/acid reflux as well as weight gain. Has anyone else had this revision done? Any thoughts...? -
I’m 5’1 and 258 and will be having the bypass due to my GERD. I previously had the sleeve and that is when I started having issues with GERD/acid reflux. It is so bad for me. I am scheduled for the 24th of this month!
