I am now just obese with no adjectives. Just 37 pounds to go until I am no longer obese. 139 pounds lost as of today -- 40 since surgery on September 28!

Well this has been the easiest recovery ever... almost no pain post-op in the hospital, and I'm certain the Lortab (liquid vicodin) I just picked up from the pharmacy is going to be completely unused. Already lost all of the IV water weight and down below my surgery weight. I'm now no longer "morbidly obese," I'm just "obese" according to the charts. It's been a hell of a three days...

I had no idea some hospitals require payment up front for surgery. My insurance pays 80% and the rest is up to me. They did give me a 25% discount for paying early :-)

This is day #4 of no incoming landline service in my area. At least I can make calls and people can email and text or leave VMs on my cell. #HateYourLocal Utilities. Hating all of them has always been wise anyway. the

Pre-op class... done! All I have to do is fork over about $13,000 to my doctor and show up for surgery on Tuesday!

I "only" lost 3 pounds this week so I knew that I should have a decent inches week. I've been doing ab and arm exercises. My arm and waist measurements are both up a little (and slightly sore) but I lost 3.75 inches! Also blood pressure issues are definitely a thing of the past, this morning I was 110/87 with a heart rate of 78. I've intentionally increased my calories to get me over 800 calories and making sure to hit my 64 oz fluid goal. Yesterday was my best fluid day yet at 114 oz!

Yay!!! As of this morning I am down a total of 90 pounds! I only have 12 more pounds to go and I'm not quite 6 months post op yet!!! I'm thrilled!

I got a pair of size 38 jeans at the mall tonight. And they fit -- and I mean for-real fit, not strain and wear your shirt-tail out fit. So psyched!

Nothing like waking up in the morning to a barfing cat /cry. I swear one of my cats are bulimic. I took her to the vet & there is nothing wrong with her. Poor kitty but poor me too.

One of my cats is a frequent puker and always tries to puke on the carpet. Whenever we hear the tell-tale HURK HURK HURK sound we run to move him to the tile floor and hold him there until he's done. Works great, except the one time he was just halfway sitting on the tile, and when I picked him up to face him towards the tile, he let go mid-turn and became a whirling cat vomit fountain.
