  1. Yes! Crossed the century mark today...halfway to my goal!

  2. Stepped on the scale this morning, and for the first time in about 9 years the number started with a 1!!!!!! HELLOOOOO ONDERLAND!

  3. What kind of fruits can we eat?

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

I can eat fruits but choose not to... I'd rather get the carbs from vegetables. If ever get a hankerin' there are some raspberries in the freezer ;-)

  4. I'm hungry.

      Fredbear

I'm sure there are people here who would take "I'm only eating the toppings off of the pizza" as permission to get a taco/spaghetti/fried chicken pizza. ;-)

  5. What amount of exercise did you do for the first month or so

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

I'm 5 weeks out and walking between 30-60 minutes a day at 2.5/3 mph.

  6. New definition of troll: Encouraging someone to stick to their post op liquid diet instead of gnawing on hard bread. Go figure that.

  7. Well today makes three weeks since i got sleeved. Down 34lbs total and 22lbs since surgery. The other plus and the main driver behind this surgery is my insulin use has dropped in half . Been feeling great and ready to get clearance to be at full speed again.

  8. Need to get over myself, but to me, 11 lbs in 16 days after Sleeve is less than I thought I would have occurred. I know all the things everyone says, but ugh.

  9. Today I weigh less than the weight I lied about on my last driver's license . LOL!!

      Fredbear

Me too! LOL I can't wait to go and change it :-)

  10. I keep saying that the idiotic psych evaluation should be scrapped in favor of an IQ test. Do the idiot surgery practices ever learn? Nah. And who pays the price? Hint: Neither they nor their patients.

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

Psych eval, IQ test, and *required* therapy, that's what I think should be mandated...

  11. I am resorting to just drinking hot water to stay warm. Can't drink coffee all day and night and expect to sleep. *Sigh*

I don't care for coffee or tea, and it's sooo cold now. I just want a hot chocolate!

  12. Good morning BP gang!! I finally jumped over the 100 pound mark.....as of this morning I've lost 101 pounds....I was going to wait to post because I'm also just one pound away from reaching my goal.....but I thought what the heck I'll celebrate both! December 16th was 7 months post op for me....I have a follow-up with my surgeon tomorrow so today I'll look around for the lightest clothes I can wear to that appointment...hahahaha

  13. Scales on Friday showed me what I've been waiting to see...299.8! I've officially crossed the 300lb mark. Onward to 200!

  14. So cool to be able to sit in a booth now and not worry whether I will feel uncomfortable, or even fit.

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

One of my favorite restaurants recently renovated, and now the booths have so much extra space that it's TOO much for me. Can't win, LOL.

  15. Tomorrow is the big day! I can't believe it is already here... I am so nervous. Prayers welcome!

  16. Wow! I lost 4.75 inches this week! I measure my chest, stomach, waist, biceps, thighs and calfs. The only ares that didn't go down were my chest and right calf.

This reminds me: I need to buy a fabric tape measure so I can do this too.

  18. Had my one week class, it was nice to eat food. I thought that I would be "OMG FOOD!" and it was more like, "oh hey, food." Very happy that I can appreciate the tastes and textures of everything, finishing what I should eat and not feeling that I need to eat it all. I was the only one in the class without any hunger, so I guess I'm lucky there. Still no nausea, no vomiting, no pain since day 2, getting more than all my liquids. Looking forward to actually cooking tonight!

      Fredbear

Had 1 oz. of cottage cheese and 3 oz. of cubed chicken with 1 tsp. each of honey, dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar. I haven't *really* enjoyed a meal that much in such a long time.

No problems with the chicken because I listened to a tip here: don't chew it too much, or it will expand in your stomach!

  21. Diet Fail: Did good on day two of my carb diet..until I fell asleep. I woke up about a hour later, thristy and confused. Drank glass of lemonade juice and ate a fajita taco..then "woke" up and thought. Crap!! I was SO out of it, then I ate some other crap I should not have (chocolate milk! and corn chips). Jesus..Get it together. Today is day three of my attempt. I WILL drink more water today, as that was likely was triggered it. I had fallen asleep with a nice cup of tea by my hand..had.

  22. Sometimes I just gotta SMDH.

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

If I SMDH at everything I should SMDH at, my DH would fall off. Easier to ignore it! :-)

  23. Well this has been the easiest recovery ever... almost no pain post-op in the hospital, and I'm certain the Lortab (liquid vicodin) I just picked up from the pharmacy is going to be completely unused. Already lost all of the IV water weight and down below my surgery weight. I'm now no longer "morbidly obese," I'm just "obese" according to the charts. It's been a hell of a three days...

    1. Fredbear

      Fredbear

Actually, I'm rather enjoying the broth and jello. I have absolutely no appetite, and now basically no pain, either. Hardest thing about the surgery so far has been keeping the cats off of me! :-)
