  7. Full bloodwork in...no longer Diabetic...half dose HBP meds...Half dose cholesterol meds...A1C was 6.1...Insulin on arget so no BS meds...on the road to good health!!

  8. Had a rough day yesterday. As most of you know I recently had cervical spinal fusion via my throat. It has been very hard to eat or drink for 2.5 weeks now. Apparently my heart rate has been very low and I let myself get dehydrated. Well, I stood up yesterday took a step and woke up on the floor. Not a good thing for someone in a neckbrace with 3 new fusions. Ugh! Spent the day in the er getting fluids. Now they want me to see a cardiologist because of my unexplained low heart rate and over 51 age. My heart rate did not improve even after I was rehydrated. Luckily I was wearing my brace and other than being sore, I feel a little better today. I am thankful that I did not really cause a huge problem. Moral of the story, don't let yourself get dehydrated no matter what! And how did your Saturday go!

It gets better, you will be amazed at more of what you can eat as you get to 1 month and even 2 months out. As your stomach heals and the swelling goes you will be able to eat a tad bit more and be ok with it. Good restriction comes when you eat solid foods.

  10. Appetite increasing. Head hunger raising it's ugly head. Scale moving slower.

Look at it like this, prior to your surgery your hunger signals were broke, at least now you know what head hunger is. Focus on the loud belly hunger you have, THAT leads the way.! :)
