    My Fitness Pal

Hey all! i am looking for friends kn my fitness pal. was originally banded 4 years ago and had some success starting weight of about 270 got down to 180 had a family tragedy that sent me into a deep depression and i thought, im gonna take it easy on myself and not get a fill. wait a month or so then get back on track.... well here we are 2 and a half years later. had at one point gained about 40 lbs and have lost about 20 of that. now i had started having problems, pain, gerd.. went to the doctor and discovered a pretty severe slip the doc tried to take Fluid out and it would not come out so he had to re-operate to reposition the band. that surgery did not go well and i am still recovering. BUT when i get recovered i want to restart this weight loss and lose these last 50 lbs! i would love some friends here and on my fitness pal to help keep me on track!!! Post Op - Full Liquid phase

start trying some different Soups, may nit be what you want to hear but... some things that my dic has o.k.ed that seem to really help me are creamy potatoe soup seasoned well. make mashed potatoes and thin it out with milk or broth until it is a soup... makes you feel like your eating something good! refried bean soup.... thin them out with broth add some taco sauce, yum! just start thinking out side the box on what types of soup you can blend and strain that will do well. the more different flavors i can add the better i do and the more satisfied i feel! you can do it!!! 10. sometimes you need a quick snack and something that is going to not give you anh problems. these yogurt bites seem like they would be good for that. a grab and go snack. definitely not something you would want on your menu every day but good occasionally Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

    Doctor Discouraged Lap Band Procedure

now if for some reason its either lap band or no surgery for you.... i would choose to have surgery. because even with the problems i have had my quality of life is so much better now than it was when i start. Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

    Doctor Discouraged Lap Band Procedure

hmmm im five years out, dealing with a severe slip. that will require another surgery in the morning, to hopefully reposition to band. if i had it to do over i would choose another surgery with lower complication rates. if i had the option financially i would revise to something else. "That's on your diet!"

its not always about shame... but the fact that its just not anyones business. i dont want to talk about it all the time. u dont want anyone to lessen the hard work that i have done using my tool with, "yeah she lost xx pounds, but she had lapband... so she didnt really have to do anything" we have all gone a very long time being judged for our weight, being judged for how we lose it is just not necessary Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

    Starbucks?

how about doing a better choice for coffee, leaner lower calorie, less sugar. and add some protien powder. to make it your morning "meal" Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App
  20. try boneless skinless chicken thighs, they are a little more fatty than breasts but i can tolerate them pretty well! another favorite is plain greek yogurt, cool whip, some mashed fruit (usually peaches for me) and splenda or honey for a little sweetness. works great for any meal when your feeling tight but still has some great protein! tuna fish find a protien shake that you like. and Protein bars. i like cliff bars Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App
