  1. Happy 47th Birthday JRC!

  2. Happy 46th Birthday JRC!

  3. The thing is the beer I had was ale (thats not fizzy) lager is fizzy and I didnt have that. Plus I only had a half a pint. But yep I think your right beer is off the menu for now. I may have a small spirit if I fancy a tipple in future. But wow that was a painfull outburst. Glad to say that I feel so much better today. Cheers for the support.
  4. Hi all, been banded for a week and half now and all is going well. Last night I had a small meal and was full and content, I then went off to watch the football team that I play for (soccer) but due to having the band Im taking a few weeks off. Afterwards all the guys have a beer in the bar before going home, so keeping with tradition I had one. However this time I only had a half and it was ale not lager due to the fizz. On my way home I had the most evil pain in my left shoulder and by the time I got home the indigestion was hell (V painfull) I took to bed with a hot water bottle on my belly and this was slightly better and I took some English version of Gas X. The feeling was like being Sooooooo full I thought I would burst. Im also sorry to say (for my dear wife) that the wind I had in the night would keep a kite up for a few days. When I woke this morning I felt fine again. Does this sound anyting like what you have had at any point ? Im off the beer for now (even a half) Any advice would be great. Ive lost 18lbs so far. When To Get Serious About This Post-Op?

Hi guys, 2moro will be one week out of op, The odd thing is im not on shakes or baby food. I have been eating porridge oats alot when I feel hunger coming on I have also had cottage cheese on chrisp bread and even low fat macaroni cheese. Mash potato and a boil in the bag fish meal. The thing that helps me is not to big a meal and chew it like crazy. I did eat salmon the other day but that got a bit stuck and was V painful. So far ive lost about 16 lbs. so something im doing is right for me.

    Got Gas?!

Hi all I was also banded on wednesday, Im a bit uncomfortable (more so around the port area) but as for wind.....ive got lots of it, the sad thing is I dont mind, after all I am a bloke
  7. Your right there Mike, I do feel like someone has used me for a punch bag workout (the port area is the most uncomportable area) but im sleeping ok (on my side as well) which is great. Fenton. Lap bands are getting more popular over here (more so with woman) but for me my blood pressure was getting so high I had to make some life changes, so here I am. The only way to get it free in England is if your dieabetic (im not) So I had to pay £7.500 which im going to be paying back for a long time.:tt2: Thanks again for your support, as time goes on I hope I can be helpfull to new banders. JRC
  8. Hi guys, just got home from hospital today (banded yesterday) I felt like crap for most of the day yesterday but feel better today. My post op diet is pretty good as I can have yogart style food in a few days. The odd thing is I lost 9lbs on the pre op diet, since I went into hospital I put 2lbs on. This is strange as ive eaten nothing since tues (how odd is that) Reading all your threads is a big push so I would like to say thanks to you all. Cheers JRC. In England
  9. Hi chaps, Im due to get banded on the 20th and the only people I have told is my wife and mother in law. Not to stressed about it at the mo but that may change in a week. Ive been watching this thread for a bit and some interesting stuff has cropped up. Well done to you guys that have had it done (Mr Q) I think for me the hard bit is thinking I can never sit down and have a normal meal ever again with family and friends without looking like a grazzing mouse. Tell me it's not so. Cheers. JRC (not my real name, im just a massive johnny cash fan) from England.
