  1. I had my sleeve on the 9/22/17 and am down 65 pounds. Already off all medications! Just turned 44, so maybe we will be lucky and that neck skin will bounce back!
  2. My starting weight was 300 lbs so that may be why I was losing that much. I’ll be ok with just 1 pound a week as long as it keeps coming off. Here’s to getting past these stalls!
  3. How about turkey neck?? Anyone have any luck with their neck tightening back up? I still have about 80 pounds to go, but after 65 pounds my neck looks a hot mess! lol
  4. I am 3 months out down 65 total it’s a crazy whirlwind, some weeks i will lose 5-7 pounds others zilch. Been stuck at zilch for 3 weeks straight. I worry that’s it! I’m not losing anymore, even though ideally I need to lose around 80 more.
  5. I was completely nervous!!! But all went fine, and here I am 12 weeks out and down 61 pounds!!! You will never regret this decision!!!
  6. I also love Adkins! Especially the dark chocolate one.
  7. Ok. I have discovered pure protein, and let me tell you yum. It’s like drinking chocolate pudding, but with 23 grams of protein. What’s everyone else’s favorite protein shakes? I like to mix it up!
  8. Online check out ASOS, Pinup girl clothing, mod cloth! Lots of good stuff!!!
  9. Congrats!!!! How exciting to hit your goal. I have been married for 22 years, so dating is foreign to me. I can only imagine how nervous you feel. I say be honest, if he is a great guy and truly cares about you, the skin won't matter a bit. I think sometimes we see ourselves differently than others, and the stuff that bothers us about our bodies others don't even see. You have worked hard to get to this moment! I'm with your Daughter rock the clothes you want!
  10. Me too. Full of regret. Glad to know it gets better.
  11. Yes, I have been walking like crazy. I basically just feel like I'm in the twilight zone. I took a warm shower this morning so I'm hoping this will be the start of a better day.
  12. I was just sleeved on Friday, and it hurts so bad for me to even swallow water. I also had hernia repair, and I'm hoping that's what's causing my pain. Right now I am full of regret. The gas pressure and heartburn are unbearable.
  13. Yes! The thrift store can be your best friend. I didn't want to spend money on new clothes just to have them not fit in a week. So thrift, when they get too big, donate them back.
  14. Thank you for your kind words. Glad you did well during your surgery. I'm on the way to the hospital now, and feeling so much better about it, after hearing all these stories. I'm ready for the new improved me.
  15. We got this!!! I wish you luck on your Surgery Monday.
  16. I'm still nervous, but I'm feeling better about it. Thank you for your prayers, I appreciate it.
  17. I'm so glad I am not alone in my fears. All of these responses have really helped. I just have to keep telling myself it's going to be fine. I know that I have a greater chance of dying young if I don't have this surgery. After I found out I had type 2 diabetes I knew that I had to do this for my health. I want to live to see my Daughter graduate college, and get married, and take my grandkids to Disneyland! (If I ever get any lol) thanks so much for your words of encouragement [emoji4]
  18. I do have Xanax for emergency anxiety attacks, I don't really like to take them, but sometimes it's necessary. I will definitely try the meditation, I have heard it helps. Thank you!
  19. I've been pretty emotional too. Glad your surgery went well, hopefully things will go just a smooth for me. [emoji4]
  20. I think that is my case too. I don't like not being in control, I'm the same way with flying. Thank you for your kind words, and the statistic thing really helped! [emoji4]
  21. I have been in Paris for the last week, so I haven't had much time to worry over my upcoming surgery date. I arrive home tomorrow at 5pm and my surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am the next morning. I am so afraid that I am going to die during surgery, and can't stop thinking about every worse case scenario. I had the lapband 10 years ago, which worked great for a while, but I eventually had to have another surgery to remove it. I'm worried about the risks from all the scar tissue. Did anyone else have these feelings, and is there any advice to ease my worry? [emoji1317]
  22. Yes! Can't let those drinks go to waste! And just think next vacation you will feel and look fabulous! That's what I keep telling myself. Good luck to you too! Have fun on your cruise!
