WLSR, that IQ test would solve SO many problems! Suzzzzz, what do those surgeons know, anyway...just listen to your body!! Right?!?!

OKC, I can't think about it at all. We always say 'life is hard, it's harder if you're stupid'. So apropos. And HFFM, you always make me laugh!

hehehe Good status and great replies. ^^

  2. I made it through Thanksgiving without gaining, but I also haven't lost any. I really wasn't interested in most of the food, especially after cooking and smelling it all day. As usual, it was the baked goods that tempted me...I made homemade yeast rolls, a pecan tart and a pumpkin pie. I had a couple of bites of everything except the baked goods, then I was done. Much easier than I thought it would be, and I'm thankful for the absence of hunger this year :)

:D Nice @ShelterDog64. You sound like an awesome cook! I'm thankful of the absence of hunger this year too (vs hungry but getting stuck with my band hehe) Every day I am so amazed with my sleeve. Happy holidays my friend!

I was surprised by how little I ate as well. Only had a bite of my favorite pies and it was enough. Yay for surviving the holiday!!

Thank you to all of you! I have a good support system here in my home and among my friends, but there's something special about sharing triumphs (and failures) with all of you here. You're my people, my village <3

That's awesome, thanks LL! She was on someone's topic (someone who grew up in an abusive household, was bullied for years, etc) talking about how she knows how hard it is being overweight, because in 'her culture' you have to be 105 lbs or some such jackassery. Fool.

I never played anything for what it may or may not do to my arse...............but after thinking about it.......I see the benefits to you participation in soccer. Good Lawd y'all ran too much. The football team could always see the soccer team during practices in HS.....ya'll were always running.......much resect.

My youngest daughter played all state soccer (and baseball) and now her son is following by earning MVP of his soccer league. We don't have football in our schools here. It's soccer in the Fall, Basketball in the Winter and of COURSE baseball in the Spring and Summer. We're doin' it right! :)

  11. Ok, I'm irritated. I just wanted to *read* the Great One-Week Pork Chop Post and can't find it. Back to real life, I guess ;-)

Seriously. I ate about 3 strips of fajita steak (probably about an ounce) very thinly sliced, a few **teaspoons** of refried beans, about 6 corn chips and some salsa.

FOAM, burp, FOAM, burp, FOAM, burp. Then up it came! My tummy randomly says NOPE every once in awhile. No rhyme or reason.

I'm home, propped up in my chair with pillows and a warm cup of tea. I feel like I just gave birth or something...exhausted, achy and very emotional. Something about having someone hurt you on purpose :( Thanks for all the support, you guys are fab <3

I'm sorry about my story too. I was just trying to commiserate with Shelterdog64, not compete with the horror stories as well. As I said before I only want to wish her good luck and a quick recovery. I shouldn't have shared and I'm sorry . :-(

All of you, no worries! I already knew this was going to be a crap recovery...anytime an orthopedic surgeon smiles and says 'oh, you WANT to have the surgery??', you know it's about to go down, and painfully ;-)

All Is well, ladies. I didn't mean for anyone to feel badly. Just cheer up a wee bit. Keep posting !!!! :)

  17. You know that noise a dog's stomach makes if you forget to feed him? Mine has started making that sound when I DO feed it. I think it's just saying 'thank you'?

Hahaha, my poor pups get lost in the insane shuffle in our house every now and again. I went to bed with them the other night, husband out of town with younger son, older son working new evening shift. I forgot to feed them, and they were throwing hints left and right...I finally realized when the Manchester's stomach started making that noise.
