Coffee 4 weeks post op?
I drink about 10-12 oz a day regular coffee. Black. I'm 7 months post op, but started drinking coffee again after about 3 months. My dietician was just adamant that I get my liquids in. HW: 437 SW: 376 CW: 293 RNY on 5/16/16

Do You Take Caffeine after Weight Loss Surgery?
I gave it up during my pre surgery phase, but at 3 months post op I started with coffee again because I enjoy the taste of good beans! I stick to caffeinated because you can't get quality decaf coffee! Just this morning I had a 3-shot Americano and it was wonderful! HW: 437 SW: 376 CW: 293 RNY on 5/16/16

Eating Leftovers
I've found that boneless, skinless chicken thighs have this same effect on me! Right out of the pan they are wonderful, but if I reheat them, it is a NO GO! HW: 437 SW: 376 CW: 326 RNY on 5/16/16

Chewy versus Chewable
The only chewy Vitamin I take is the calcium. They are a lot more bearable than the huge calcium citrate tablets! HW: 437 SW: 376 CW: 332 RNY on 5/16/16

Question about liquid diet an return to work
I'm so glad I didn't have to endure the liquid diet pre surgery! I did have a controlled diet and lost 18lbs in the 2 weeks prior. As for time off, I was out a week. I have a desk job and have had a great recovery (physically). Mentally, it was tough going back to work while still on a liquid diet. I'm finally in the 2nd week of pureed foods and it had been much easier! HW: 437 SW: 376 RNY on 5/16/16

What was your rate of loss?
I'm just curious as to what your rate of weight loss was after your surgery? I had my two week appt last Thursday and I was down 20lbs. HW: 437 SW: 376 RNY on 5/16/16

Who do you share the news with?
I haven't been out front advertising it, but I've told more people than I expected to tell. I can't imagine not telling my kids! My family is in this with me and I need as much support as I can get. I also had to come to understand that this is not only my decisions but one that involves my wife and child. There are significant changes my wife has had to make to accommodate my new diet and eating habits. To deny her the opportunity to talk to someone about her struggles is just being selfish IMO. Traveling/ vacation after surgery
I'm traveling to Vegas at 6 weeks. I don't think I'd want to travel until I get to the soft food stage. I'll be three weeks out tomorrow and I don't think I'd want to travel while still on the pureed food stage and I definitely wouldn't travel while still on liquids! HW: 437 SW: 376 RNY on 5/16/16

Veggies
I'm two weeks out and my list just says "well cooked, simple" vegetables. Not sure what "simple" means so I'm waiting until I meet with her on Thursday! HW: 437 SW: 376 RNY on 5/16/16
