  1. I received my surgery date (9/20) and all of a sudden, I'm freaking out. Is this the right thing for me? I've tried diets, and exercise but I don't know how dedicated I was to it. Maybe I haven't tried hard enough yet on my own... The sleeve is SO permanent and once I do it, there is no turning back. Is this normal? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    DENIAL BCBS OF MN

I have BCBS of MN as well and I'm on week 2 of waiting for the approval. My surgeons office said that they are notorious for a long wait time but don't get many denials. Probably due to the office's diligence with submitting everything they ask for, plus more. Good luck to you (and me!). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. Good Morning!! I'm planning my sleeve in August and have a large trip planned mid-December, and I'm wondering how much ya'll had lost in about the first four months. My NUT said that she thinks Id be looking at about 40-50. Im currently 270. I know everyone is different but I'm trying to get an idea of clothing sizes while summer items are on sale now. 6. I have a DisneyWorld trip planned Dec 10. I don't have a sleeve date yet but we're thinking end of August. I hope to be down quite a bit before the trip but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Magic Bands not fitting. Or have you had any issues with not fitting on the rides? I haven't been to Disney as "Pooh-Sized"- I'm currently 5'3", 270#. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Hi everyone- I'm about 2 months out from a potential surgery date and I'm wondering how ya'll cope with telling friends/family/coworkers. I'm a very private person and feel that I won't want to tell people. However, if I have very noticeable and fast weight loss, I would guess people would suspect I had surgery. It's not that I'm embarrassed, like I said, just a private person. Any advice you can share? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
