  3. Howdy all post ops! I will be 4 weeks post op RNY Wednesday. I continue to have a bugging pain/tenderness on the left, in the vicinity of the largest incision when I bend or twist. I asked my doctor about it and she keeps saying it's normal, but it doesn't feel normal after four weeks. The intensity hasn't changed, and I would think if it was healing it would. I did have an infection in my drain tube incision, it had to be drained and I was put on anabiotic's, it is cleared up now. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas? Thanks! 4. Hi, my Dr didn't have me start vit until week 2. And I only take Bariatric vit, Bariatric Advantage. You can buy them from their website or from Amazon. You can ask your Dr for an anti-nausea medication to take with your pain meds until you don't need them anymore. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. I had my RNY on 27 April. I was on a liquid diet two weeks prior to the surgery. I did the following and it got me through: Made homemade chicken broth twice a week. I sautéed carrots celery onions and jalapeño, added costco chicken base and a whole chicken and cooked it slow, added a little Sage bay salt-and-pepper and garlic powder. This makes an amazing broth, of course you have to scoop off the fat after it is chilled. I drink 16 ounces of this for lunch and dinner and it really helped. For Protein drinks I did I superior deluded. I also drank two Premier Protein shakes a day for a total of 60 g of protein. Sugarfree Popsicles or my dessert. I made it! 7. Thanks! Drain tube came out a week ago. Ended up in the ER yesterday and they drained his pocket of Fluid that had developed around the incision and become infected, then they packed it and gave me some anabiotic's. Hopefully this takes care of the problem and I can get this passed me!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It started getting hard under the incision so I talked to my surgeon and she said I needed to see my primar doc or go to ER. I live in ALaska and had my surgery in Dan Diego. So frustrating.
