  6. I was sleeved 28 April 2016 and can say it was the best decision. First few days I suffered immensely from nausea, I could barely get down fluids and the gas pain especially in my shoulders drove me nuts. What I can say is following doctors orders really helped and sipping small amounts per hour. I am thankful for the two week pre-op liquid diet before surgery as that I think it prepared me for post op success. It really does get better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Recommend you go back to BCBS and request a copy of your explanation of benefits (EOB) for the date you had the lab work done. You will want to review the the billing code that was used by the surgeons office when they submitted the claim to your insurance. I would have a discussion with them (BCBS) and find out under what circumstances do they cover for lab work. They will probably tell you but they may not provide the billing code. I would have a discussion with the patient coordinator in the surgeons office for assistance in resubmitting the paper work with a different billing code that is applicable. 16. Hello day 3 I was still in the hospital due to severe nausea, even with the zofran. Doc finally put a patch on me and I felt better. I was an improvement. Sorry you are going through this. It does get better. You may want to call the doctor. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I have a Fitbit Charge HR and Blaze and I average 10,000 steps per day. I really like doing the challenges as that they help to keep me motivated and they are fun. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  18. I took a sports bra with me but actually did not put on while in the hospital. For the few days in the hospital did not care it was the least of my worries. When I had to walk around on the surgical ward the nurses draped another gown over me like a robe which I found comfortable as opposed to trying to tie the gown I was wearing. This allowed me some modesty. Post op and just been wearing sports bras and everyone is happy. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Insurance pays for nutritional supplements

My understanding is the insurance may pay for nutritional supplements. You should check your plan for requirements. The supplements would have to be designated as a medical necessity. There should be a form that your insurance has you complete and and sign by your doctors office my understanding this is a one time certification. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
