  4. Keep up the good work! You're doing great! I've lost roughly 61lbs and I'm seven weeks post-op. Lost 15lbs on the liquid diet, and 46lbs post-op. The only exercise I've been getting until recently is walking, I get in at least 8km daily, and starting this week I'll be doing weights three days a week (Doctor said I should be okay for lifting now)
  5. I'll be having my surgery in Toronto on June 7th - Trying to power through this Optifast diet for the week!
  6. Love reading your posts DangerMouse007, very inspirational stuff. I begin my post surgery journey on June 7th!
  7. I'm on day 4 now and my energy levels have completely dropped (I have dropped 10lbs though which is a plus!). I was going to the gym 5 days a week prior to being on the Optifast but by midday I'm so drained I don't feel like doing anything.
  8. June 7th for this guy! Super excited!
  9. I'm currently on day 2 of a two week optifast only diet. It was a struggle getting through the first day but I seem to be doing better today. Hopefully I can last until my surgery date of June 7th!
  10. I don't have a confirmed date but I suspect that I will have mine near the end of May.
  11. That's pretty much it in a nutshell, show the staff that you're ready and willing to commit to the changes you have ahead and they'll get you booked in as soon as possible. I changed my diet and exercise habits the day my family physician made the referral.
  12. In Kingston (actual surgery will be in Toronto) just finished up my appointments with both the Dietician and Social Worker. Waiting for the pre-surgery class dates now. Things are moving along rather smoothly since I adjusted my diet and exercise habits prior to attending my first orientation class to show them that I'm motivated.
