I was told 1 cup max of coffee and that I had to drink more Water to make up for its diuretic effects.

Fairlife milk. It's lactose free/low and has added Protein. I add Water if it's too thick.

I kept my polish (dark blue matte) on and had no issues. During surgery they used my ear lobe for pulse and later on used a clip on my finger for O2 readings.

We have the same weight stats and are surgery twins yay!Hello! Had vsg on 6/22 - it's been a great experience so far, I'm glad to have been invited over to this board with other June sleevers!
I am not posting my personal info on here because I work in the public eye in my hometown of Cleveland, and am trying to keep things under wraps. The only people who know I had surgery are my husband and my mother!
I love to hear and read everybody's experiences - I've definitely taken all of the "before" pics and can't wait for the "after" ones. :-)
I'm currently down 13 lbs. from surgery and tolerating soft foods well - I'm on the "Phase 3" diet. It seems like my surgeon allowed me to move quicker through the liquid phase of the diets than what is reflected in other people's experiences on here, I wonder why that is? Has anybody else been allowed to incorporate food into their diet yet (i.e. flaky fish, cheeses, mashed potatoes etc?)
MY STATS:
HW: 295
SW: 286
CW: 273
My plan skips the pureed food stage. I go from 2 weeks clear and full liquids right into reintroducing food at my own pace.

Had my surgery June 22nd. Recovering pretty well. Cheated a bit with some mushy foods today but besides that I am adjusting well.
The hardest part is getting my brain to get in line with my stomach.

I use a small pillow to support my stomach if I sleep on my side and it helps with the pulling feeling.

Overnight. They checked for leaks the morning. Also had me complete 3 walk goals and 4 cups of water/crystal light as well before I went home.

Reconsider the iud! There are 3 on the market now. Skyla-for women who have not had children yet-it contains hormones and is smaller mirana -the big sister to Skyla and Paraguard which contains copper and no hormones.
I didn't have weight gain using the nuvering.
I did have issues with the arm implant gaining weight. So in september I will go back on the pill when it's removed.
Non hormone methods-diaphram or cervical cap.
Hopefully in a couple years I can just get my tubes tied and be done.

I had to pay $600 for my nutritional classes and material out of pocket. Kinda annoyed that they would make this a requirement for surgery and not figure out a way for it to be covered.

Unless i am on a tight schedule i refuse the scanners or detectors for personal reasons so I get a pat down anyways.

5 days post op here as well.
I am having what I call "brain cravings"
My brain is telling me how much I miss allllll the foods. While my stomach and rest of my body is like "aw hell no we are fine and want to heal"
I usually grab a sf Popsicle to try and make everyone happy.

I was told at 4 weeks I could do light exercise and then ramp it up as my body sees fit. I just want these darn incisions to heal so I can hope back into the pool!
I am only 5 days post op..sooooooo a ways to go.

Good luck! Try and get as much rest tomorrow as you can!I am having surgery on Monday. June 27th. I was originally scheduled for July 18th but they had a cancellation and now I'm freaking. I had planned how I would handle the month waiting, be really organized and ready. Now my brain is a mess! I had ten days to prepare when I found out I got bumped up. I'm sure it'll work out fine, it's just a little nerve wracking.

I have 6. Which is fine. I thought 5 was the usual.
They are healing well and do not hurt. This skin glue though is driving me batty!
I was a little out of it when my surgeon came by the day after. I remember him being suprised and telling me I had a "big" piece of stomach to remove. So maybe that has something to do with it?
Not a super serious concern. Just curious. I will ask at my post op follow up on the 5th.

Mine is 2 weeks of at least 32 ounces of Clear liquids and 32 ounces of full liquids plus Vitamins. Then I move on to real food. No soft/pureed foods at all.

3 days out for me. I know it's early *knock on wood* but no heartburn issues, no major bathroom troubles and no pain meds needed. I am gassy if I sip too fast and struggle with gross Protein shakes but have found that unflavored Protein in my Tomato Soup is just as good!
I love this feeling of getting healthy and it's encouraging me so much!

I was sleeved June 22nd as well. Today I have my follow up appt with my surgeon and meeting with a nutritionist to go over step 3 of my reintroduction to eating solids.
Hw: 295
Sw:288
Cw:273
I did a 2 week pre op high Protein diet followed by a 2 week post op full/clear liquids and tomorrow I can start reintroducing food. Soft foods first then more solids as my body sees fit.
I do have diabetes and they took me off metformin right after surgery. No complications but I am on bloodthinners for 3 months post op as a precaution due to being on HBC.
