  11. Update: 3/13/19 wow it has been over a year since I posted?? I weighed myself this morning and it was 198. I finally made it to ONDERLAND!! ok, barely made it, but I'll take it. Had a bit of a set back. I gained weight over this past holiday season, but dusted off the books my Nut gave me and went right back to eating well and have lost the 17 pounds I gained. My last post surgery doc revealed that my sleeve grew by 50% and that is my fault. I am drinking and eating too fast. Gotta get to work on that.

  23. Hope everything turns out well.
  24. I don't think it was the surgery. I had my surgery 10/2017 and it did not magicly make me motivated to work out or eat better or be more active. How would removing 80% of my stomach accomplish those things? The only things the surgery has done is curbed the cravings and stopped me from over eating which is pretty much as advertised. To help with motivation, I suggest a support group. My insurance made me go to two meetings and I am glad they did. That was a year ago and I still attend!
  25. Update 1/14/18: I am down to 216, just 6 pounds away from being out of the "Obese" category! I find that the sleeve prevents me from over eating, which is exactly why I chose this surgery. It is performing as advertised. I just have to control what it is that I eat. I can easily get down a slice of pizza, but two? Won't even attempt it. And the beauty part is, I don't want that second piece. One slice, and I am done, satisfied. But that does not happen often, as I tend to eat right and make healthy choices because I feel a whole hell of a lot better.

  27. Dr. Kwon is very mild mannered, matter of fact kind of guy. He is awesome and my surgery went very well.
  28. Update: 12/13/17 Weight..219 I had my final post op follow up yesterday and was cleared to eat meats and "regular" food. But I think I'll stick to the fish, and puddings and jellos, and keep the steaks to a minimum. Doc said everything looked great and I am right on track. The next challenge is Christmas and New Year's Eve parties!
  29. Update: 12/1/17: Weight: 220.. down from 260 for a total of 40 pounds lost. Thanksgiving was...interesting. I ate some turkey and stuffing and mash potatoes, but what was different was I ate very little of it and felt full much quicker. I feel as if I didn't miss out on anything. I had a tiny sliver of pie and could not even finish it.
  30.    Killian reacted to a post in a topic: Anyone get busted lying about their surgery?
  31. I almost did. I told everyone I had gall bladder removed. A few weeks later, had a friend ask who my gal bladder surgeon was because they actually have to have it removed and wanted a recommendation! I just reminded them I had it done in New York City, which i know they were dead set against going to..it is over 2 hours away. So they replied, "forget that!"
  32. Have you had a sleep study done yet? If not have one done soon
