So I'm 4 weeks postop and just had my first solid meal which consisted of half of a chop steak and a few bites of mashed potatoes. And I still did not feel full when I was finished. Am I eating too much??

Thank you for info. I think you are both right. Gotta love being a female. I just got over a bout of diverticulitis but this felt different. Good luck tomorrow

I'm having surgery tomorrow and have been doing great on liquids until today. I woke up with bad lower abdominal cramps. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks

Thank you so much for the information. I want to get healthy and start living. I think I am just nervous because it is going to be a huge lifestyle change.
Good grief no, I don't regret it. I have my life back. The only things that cause me any discomfort in eating are bread with yeast and carbonated things. I did love me some bread and champagne back in the day but I can tell you I love my life now 100x more than bread or champagne.
There may be a few things that disagree with you post-op, but not many. Truthfully though, if you aren't willing to adopt a healthy way of eating (95% of the time) for the rest of your life, this surgery likely won't help you. The surgery will help you get to that healthy way of eating but you have to want that and be willing to maintain it. It's not magic, it takes work.
I have a lot of problems with diverticulitis and I worry whether I will be able to get enough Fiber. Are you able to eat fruits and vegetables?

Hi! I am new to this site. I am scheduled for gastric sleeve in 3 days and am beginning to have doubts. I need to lose about 75 pounds and I keep telling myself I could do it on my own. But, I haven't been able to up to this point. I keep thinking about food that I may never get to eat again. Does anyone regret having it done?
Thanks

Does anyone know if you can still have gastric sleeve if you are experiencing a bout of diverticulitis a week prior to scheduled surgery?
Thank you
