Thank you!! We should be buddies.
Definitely. Are you using fitbit or my fitness pal? Also there's a secret group on Facebook. Let me know.

I am not using either one but I plan on buying a fit bit. I think I am in a couple facebook groups, the latest one is for June - July sleevers
I'm in one for May/June. But honestly I'm thinking of leaving the group. Too many people looking for an excuse to eat whatever they want. Had someone a few weeks post op talking about drinking alcohol because it's a holiday.

  3. I have my 3 of 3 for pre-op visits today. tis is my last meeting with the surgeon before JUNE 1st. I'll mention that my weight has not moved since 4/29, I think ill be ok since I cant loose that 1bmi point that is keeping me above 40 until after surgery. Oh I may have missed it in this thread, is your surgery date still the same?

Yep still the same date. Did pre-op last week. Man what I wouldn't give for one small meal. I got weighed yesterday, but it wasn't very accurate so I'm going to weigh Friday and see if anything has moved.

  4. Are you feeling nervous about actual procedure?

I'm not nervous for the actual procedure. If anything I'm nervous about recovery because I have a 2.5 year old. I don't think she'll get why I'm not able to play on the ground with her for a few weeks.
Awww yeah it'll be hard to explain. My daughter is 6 and I think she's more excited than I am. I wasn't nervous until I went to pre-op and they told me I couldn't wear deodorant. Then I just started to freak out.

Are you allowed food, food or like veggies? I can have lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and a few other low starch veggies. But only 2 cups. This is the 2nd day and so far so good.

Maybe no weight-loss, maybe inches? Or muscle gain from gym?

  6. I am....surgery on the 7th as well. I started swapping food for Protein shakes a couple of weeks back and upped Water intake. I officially start today, but I'm nervous that I'll eat something I shouldn't. It's not too bad as I'm allowed sugar free Jello and lettuce and a few other veggies.

I suggest swapping out Breakfast with a shake, and just increasing your Water intake. It'll help. I also decided to eat some of my favorite meals that I knew I wouldn't have for a long time.

  7. If you research the fielding, you will discover back several years ago they had a relationship with allergen who produces one of the bands. He was a fan of the band.. I went to Lennox hill and they were more straight up regarding what's the real deal with the band

Just to add I had an odd feeling you were having one of the NYU doctors when you said they were pushing lapband.

Wow!! I'm set to go soon so probably too late to change Dr's. But towards the end he started telling me the band would be better. That I'd gain all the weight back if I do the sleeve. Too bad for them I did my research. Have you already have surgery?

  8. My BMI is over 50 so I hopping when I talk to my doc about the surgery it'll be a quick process for since I get summer off I hope it's before August that it does interfere with work

If it's that high then they may not require much from you. You just have to find out if they require the visits, some do others don't.

  9. After watching an episode of Ink Master, a tattoo artist complained that because his client had lapband and lost a lot of weight, the skin is now "rubbery" and difficult to get ink in. I have virgin skin and am concerned how difficult my skin would become. My friend with lots of ink thinks he is only half right and is mostly trying to save himself from elimination. Your thoughts and experiences? bmi.png

It's bullshit. My friend did bypass and after dropping probably close to 200 pounds has had no problems continuing with her tattoos. She had before as well.
