    Slow Weight Loss

I had surgery two days after you, SW 229 - CW 182, almost identical stats. I don't feel like it's been slow, I'm thrilled with the loss.

    Feeling no energy

The same thing happened to me. By 6 weeks I was completely back to myself. Hang in there, it gets better!

What I wish I had known...

Good post! However, there are a few things different for me... I am six weeks out and have been eating raw veggies with no issues since week 4. It's only a few bites because I eat it after my Protein but I love that I can have it. I've been drinking coffee since being cleared by my surgeon at week 2, also without issue. I also have eaten out a number of times and still love to go out to eat. I just order something healthy, eat a little bit and bring the rest home. I only told a few key people in my life and I am so glad I chose that route. You can't untell anyone. Every program seems to have their own set of rules. Follow them and you'll have success. Second thoughts?

Yes surgery is a big deal BUT not nearly the big deal I thought it would be. I too wasted a lot of time worrying.
  8. Hey, I had my surgery on the 15th too and know just what you're talking about. Today I've been able to drink more comfortably and almost have my 64oz in. Thank goodness it gets better as I struggled with getting fluids in the first few days. Good luck to you!

Why do some folks try to ruin this forum?

BINGO! I've actually cut way down on my time spent here for exactly this reason. I'm a lurker but had come to rely on the information I found here. Thank goodness I discovered another group where there is only love and support. It's a support page, not a belittle page. Love wins. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

What did I do to myself?

You're kidding! Now that I think about it this sounds familiar, I'm in Pok as well. Not familiar with your doc, mine is in Westchester, surgery will be in Putnam Hospital. Where was yours?

Upper G I track done EGD

I was terrified also, just had mine done a few weeks ago. The worst part was the waiting! Honestly it was no big deal at all, like a nice nap. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
