My one year surgiversary is coming up on May 12. I won't be at goal but I have come so very far!

I think a huge percentage of WLS patients have similar stories. I've lost significant amounts of weight many times through diet and exercise. As much as 90 pounds one time, but 25-40 pounds several other times. 5% of people may be able to keep the weight off, but I failed at it 100% of the time until I was sleeved. I've now been maintaining under goal for 8 months!

My surgery was 4/21 and the first three days were a bitch but now I'm on day 5 and I'm drinking Water and Protein better broth is going down great I haven't weigh myself yet waiting for doctors visit. I'm just amazed how our bodies heal so quickly thank you Jesus he brought me threw this hang in there everybody we will all get through this one day at a time!!

Hunger pangs?. Why am I starting to feel hungry?. I mean it's fine as far as it only takes three bites of something to make it go away and I don't really have an appetite/cravings but...i wasn't expecting to feel hunger anymore.

I stalled three weeks out for three weeks period came lost ten again stalled for three weeks again just got done with period and I hoping scale moves again start 256 Feb 22 as of today I'm 218. Hoping for another ten or more lbs I want to hit two hundred by March 24 will see. That will be 58 lbs in three months fingers crossed I can do it.I'm following 800 Cal two mile walk a day.

I'm about 4 to 6 times a day. Definitely not more than that and definitely not more than 2 ounces. My huge problem is that I've always been a fast eater. I still am and boy when that pain hits in the middle of my chest I'm reminded to stop eating so fast.

I think you may be sipping a bit too quickly. Hiccups has always meant my tummy is currently full and needs a minute to empty.

Like @@Inner Surfer Girl said, I kept one pair of pants and one shirt from my highest weight, just as a reminder of where the journey started. But everything else had to go! I know some people keep their old wardrobe, or get some things altered to fit their changing sizes, but it was pretty therapeutic for me to get rid of those things. Now between clothing exchanges and thrift/consignment shops, I've gotten a whole "new" wardrobe and it hasn't cost me more than $100.

Not on sugar meds and in one month I'll be off protonixs. I'm proud of me so isy doctor. I only care what he says not others or my scale. Cause in one yr will all be where we should be if we lisen to doctor and nut. Some weight more then others and there weight will be a higher number I'm looking forward to October and being 140 or less and then maintaining it the rest of my live.. I thank my higher powers for the will power. And the compliments that come with it. I now if scales not moving inches and fat are.

The best way to treat hemorrhoids is to drink plenty of Water and take Fiber. You might want to check with your Dr before taking any Fiber since you just had surgery. Also, keep in mind NORCO, Hydrocodon and other pain medications can cause Constipation.< /p>

My doctor has my on Stoll softern twice day and if my day four I don't have nomoral BM he has me on lactulose 15 ml once in morn and by afternoon I have BM it's watery but I don't get diarea from it. I'll be on that for five months till my body reguals by self. This stops hemroids and straining on you new tummy. It cause swelling when you strain to go

I haven't had to very often (maybe twice since surgery) but when I did, I followed my surgeon's instructions for stool softener (Dulcolax) + Milk of Magnesia and it worked like a charm.

That's very helpful thank you I also sleep with the heating pad. It's a life saver.

I wasn't banded (I got the sleeve) but I was able to take my meds the day after surgery. Just talk to your surgeon about their guidelines.
