  1. Actually not very close at all haha!!!! Just in the same metro area you know? I know it's hard to find people in the same city sometimes so I'm down for a drive to say hey to a fellow LBT member!! You're welcome, and welcome to TX home of the crazy weather as you can tell!

  2. Aww :-). Well I guess then we're even...but remember some of my curves are from fat...I've gone down so many bra sizes it's ridiculous!!! But that's okay...I'd rather be small/healthy with small boobs than fat with bigger ones! Keep up the good work mami!

  3. Congratulations!!!! I hope by now the worst of the pain has subsided. I loved chicken broth, or the Campbells cups of soup with the mushy veggies in it, tasted like heaven!! Also don't forget sugar free popsicles and things like that for snacks and to get a little sweet. Of course fat free Jello pudding is also good too. Thanks!! Vegas is so much fun!! I can't wait to see your progress pics!!

  4. Good morning and thank you!!! Good luck to you as well! We can do this, we just have to be patient and work hard...

  5. Good morning and welcome to LBT!!! Any questions or concerns let me know!!! I can refer you to docs in the DFW area...I was banded there :o)

  6. HAHA! You look much better than me but I'm trying to get there! I definitely eat enough to maintain weight instead of lose right now but I had a complication so I had to unfill a little...but in 2 weeks it will all be back in and I'll have restriction again! Plus I dealt with some depression issues last month but now I'm back with a smile on my face and back in the gym! I did 1 hour on the treadmill yesterday, 3.11 miles, and I wanna go back tonight and do cardio + weights. What do your workouts look like? Thanks for the compliments...

  7. Hey and thanks a bunch! I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you, haven't been on here in a while. I have not had ANY hair loss or any issues with skin or hair since surgery a year ago. My doctor was Dr. Felts in Dallas on the border of Dallas and Richardson and he's awesome. I've heard of Dr. Barker also, and haven't heard anything bad from him. Just make sure to get in your protein as that is the main ingredient for healthy skin, nails and hair! Right after surgery and for about a month or so it might be difficult to get in the recommended amount, but don't be discouraged!!! I've hit a plateau and am not happy about that, but I still am about 80lbs down from my highest weight ever! I'm getting back in the gym and I'm due for a fill and my weight loss should resume shortly! Good luck with everything...how is your process going so far?

  8. Hey Ashley! Wow you're in McKinney too? We're definitely gonna have to hook up sometime!! Good luck on your surgery and I know that everything will be great! This is the beginning of a new and improved YOU!

  9. Hey chica!!!! You were on my mind - again - and I just wanted to stop by and say you are looking mighty sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  10. Hey I'm good how are you? Right now I have the hiccups and boy are they uncomfortable lol!

  11. Hey lady, thanks! I actually am at my initial goal of 170 lbs but I still have so much flab!!! So my new "amended" goal right now is 160. I guess I have 10 pounds of fat to tighten up but I don't know...I am at a good size I think but I am unhappy with the fat so I gotta step up the weights!

  12. Hey lady...haven't seen you post in a while on your Rave thread could you give us an update? Hoping that all has and is going well with you!!!

  13. Hey sorry I am just now getting to know how to check these visitor messages! Thanks for the encouraging words! I am at a stand still as far as losing goes, but I'm working on getting back on track1 How are you doing?

  14. Hey you!! Thanks a lot...I had slipped a little also but got a fill in January so I am back on it...I need to tone up my arms, tummy, and legs to get ready for swimsuit summer!! I'm very excited actually if only I can get rid of all the jiggles lol. Yes I won't EVER be back to the past either and that makes me smile. Have a great week!!

  15. Hi Ivy how are you? Congrats on your date! The best thing I would say is follow the plans your doctor gives and then after a few months mold it to what you need/can do. I have learned to balance meals, and eat several times a day, and drink a lot of water even when I want something with flavor. Exercise is KEY! So start with walking and it would be best to then join a gym where you can do various cardio/weights at least 3-5 times per week.

  16. Hi Soror! No unfortunately I'm not at goal yet...been stuck for a while but I'm not giving up! I'm about 30 pounds away from my true goal, and once I get there I will evaluate my body (fat and stuff) to see if I am where I want to be. I look at my goal as less of a weight but more of how my body looks. How are you doing so far? Excited??? :-)

  17. Hi thanks for dropping by! I was banded 5/23/08 and so far I've lost 50 pounds!!! I've had some stall moments of course and don't always work out like I should but I am still happy with my progress so far. Good luck with your date!!! I'm in McKinney so maybe sometime we should hang out...

  18. How are you doing?? Was your fill ok? Sorry for the late response I've been pretty busy lately. Losing slowly still, not really time to work out but hopefully that will change soon. Looking good girl!

  19. I'm great how are you? My progress is good for right now, I have been slacking on going to the gym. Don't be concerned!! The first 30-45 days you should focus more on following the doctor's diet and healing...weight loss during that time is just a bonus. Weight fluctuates constantly, I recommend weighing only every week or so. Your fills are more about how food moves through the band and not your weight...just talk to your doc about your concerns. Congrats on your loss so far!!

  20. I'm not sure exactly...my weight loss was gradual and sometimes at a stand still then the next thing you know I would lose 5 pounds easy. It's a marathon not a sprint so just stick to eating right and exercising when you can and the weight will come off

  21. LOL it's a little uncomfortable sometimes, but you can ask for some numbing stuff before hand and that's not bad. I had to use it my last fill b/c I did NOT want that pain again!!! Good luck, hope everything stays down nice and easy :-)

  22. LOL that's a lot of cardio! I'm trying to get on that level....we'll see how far I get. Yeah you gotta switch it up. I need to do weights to tone my arms and legs and to keep my butt from drooping lol! It still looks good for now t hough. I'm in TX so it's been hot since Feb ha! I'm trying to fall back in love with the gym....but you do look great a little toning and you'll be straight!

  23. Oh ok r I have some fam in Cedar Hill

  24. See!! I told you!! Congrats on losing again, that's so great! I'm okay, still trying to get into a routine of doing weights and resistance to tighten up some of this flappy fat on my arms and tummy lol. Hope all is going well with you!

  25. Sorry I just figured out how to check visitor message please forgive me!!!! You asked MONTHS ago how I was feeling - I was very weak and sore for about a week after surgery (5/23) but of course now I'm great. At a stand still as far as losing goes, but I have to get back on track with eating and exercise. How have you been doing?
