There is too much butthurt around here.
This is a bariatric forum......a place where we've come....we've taken extreme measures to gain control over our health.
Some folks choose to keep their heads buried in the sand and simply want a warm blanket thrown on them. Let 'em stay there...heads buried....tide will come in and drown them at some point. I simply don't have the energy to help them any longer. Ignorance is a choice at this point. There is no way that somebody reaches the point where they reach the act of actually having wls and they don't know the basics. No way in hell. They've been briefed and they choose to ignore it.
The rest of us will do the work to reach our goals and live lean and happy. It's not always easy....but it's much easier since surgery.
I'm so tired of the childish butthurt that I see around here. Folks need to grow up and own up. Solutions have been provided if they'll simply own their actions.

I was tempted almost beyond what I could bear when I first arrived here, and a certain "vet" decided to jump all over me with both her feet in righteous indignation, but I held my tongue, so to speak. I merely pointed out that she lacked a sense of humor. That seemed to do the trick, as she has stedfastly ignored me since then.

The acronym does not describe the person who is the problem. It describes the sentiment expressed when those people show up and want to take control of your life and tell you what to do. It is FOAD. I do not say that I ever used it. I just say I know about it. Just in case.

Yes, I remember the slipping and sliding on icy streets in Norway ... especially bad in steep roads/streets going down. Had to move like a crab, sideways.

If I could, I would gladly send the heat to both yourself and Nilla. I am yet to install a second air-con in my West bedroom. Even with 2 fans going full blast, it is still too hot.
We are having our hottest summer, and other countries are having coldest winters.
Anyway, it is only a very long flight to my place, but bring the cheese-bread, and the party is on!

There is an acronym to respond to this phenomenon you describe, but I cannot write it here, as it is not quite polite. But, it is accurate. And to the point.

There are so many nice, intelligent people contributing to these forums. Their information is on point, their insight invaluable!! I look for some of these people under all of the comments so that I can follow them for their remarks, advice and humour!!
THEN there are those people, mainly women I'm sorry to say, who take every remark, every answer, every comment that does not suit them and they turn the discussion into a battle!! They seem to feel that everything written is an attack on their sanity, their intellect or their standing in the world!! They go into attack mode with the slightest provocation and insist you leave their thread and their life!! I truly don't understand this kind of mentality and how people with such thin skin can function in the real world!!
It's so nice to a have a forum of like minded individuals, WLS/losing weight, where everything and anything can be discussed. Why ruin it with name calling, direct personal attacks and a militant stance?
Please remember now, this is MY RANT!!

Ok, I have to start covering my mirrors. Getting too scared. I have noticed that the skin under my chin is looking like it belongs to my mom. Streaky skin... Today my left cheek around my dimple is looking the same when I smile!! Can you guess who started paying more attention to skin care? ????
I guess I have lost some weight in my face, but I can't tell yet, other than the skin getting weird. Please tell me this will go away?!?

Here they are, the Fembots!

It's been "break your ears off" cold here for the past week or so. It is supposed to go up into the 50s, but not for a few more days. In addition to the cold here, I got to spend a big chunk of the day in an unheated basement in the mountains (where it got up to a high of 14 degrees) helping replace a pressure tank for a well. Fun fun. I could use some cheese bread in a warm climate with a couple of friendly folks.

Oh I so need some heat after the freezing cold weather we have had. The snow is covering everything and the streets are so slippery. My friend flew in from FL today and I ordered a bunch of stuff for him to bring me (and yes, he volonteered). I got a message saying it's all soaked in the rum he brought for another friend... oh well, I guess GENEPRO could taste worse?!?

I figured as much, but I couldn't resist taking a jeep shot. Thank you, it is very kind of you to say so, but I seem to be changing from a plum to a prune. I used to joke that fat people looked younger because the wrinkles didn't show. Now that is not the case, for me anyway.

As for the freezer space, put your extra stuff Outside .... the blizzards will keep them frozen for you,
or
get a second fridge/freezer.
I have 2 large fridges at home. Very handy
