  1. I am feeling pretty awesome overall. Struggling a little with making good choices. My kid's halloween candy taunts me daily. Did pretty good at Thanksgiving. Concentrated on Protein first and that filled me up enough that I didn't eat much else... until pie. I did have a small sliver of pie but I am not beating myself up for that as it was a special occasion. Total to date I have lost 114 lbs. Down from 296 to 182. Love those numbers and love my new size!
  2. I asked another group this same question just a couple of days ago and the answers I got were all over the board. (I was sleeved Mar 28). In the end I decided for me, any liquid that does not contain caffeine gets to count towards my daily Water amounts. Caffeine doesn't count because it is naturally dehydrating. I almost never drink caffeine so that works for me! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I am doing great and so happy. How are you? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. What I have found with most who are able to eat that much right away is that they are eating too long. My NUT stressed not to eat for longer than 20-30 minutes at a time and then stop, no matter how much or how little I was able to eat. Maybe timing your meals will help? I'm just guessing. 6. No pain meds. Hubby just picked up some children's liquid Benadryl and it did seem to help a little. Hopefully it keeps helping! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I have an odd question. I am 12 days post op and still on clear/full liquids. I have stuck to the plan and I am getting my liquids and Proteins in. Yesterday my palms started itching really bad and it is continuing today. Has this happened to anyone else? I have my follow up on Tuesday and plan to ask the doc them but it is driving me nuts! 8. I had glue instead of strips and it is coming off. Completely off on a couple of incisions but they are healed so it is okay. Still don't see my surgeon until next Tues and I am supposed to stay on full liquids (not even yogurt) until then. I will be slow glad to be able to add a bit more texture. I really feel like I am already ready but I won't take chances and will wait for the doc's okay. Feeling good overall though and down 25lbs since my first consult so happy about that! 9. I know this post is from a little bit ago but I started looking into this about the same time and just got the sleeve with Dr Enochs. Did you ladies get through the process with him also! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I am also 5 days out and have been hungry here or there. It isn't overwhelming but i just had to distract myself and maybe go for something Protein for it to pass. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. To a different degree but yes! It is completely normal to be anxious. I actually think the first week after surgery has been easier for me than the last week before surgery. It has had challenges in different ways but no more anxiety per say. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. So sorry to hear about your mother. Best of luck keeping up with your fluids and meeting goals. It will be a challenge but you can do it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Today I am so happy with my progress. Finally was able to hit (and bypass!) my 64oz goal for liquids and then did the numbers and realized I also me my Protein goals too. That was a nice surprise because I hadn't really been watching Proteins much. Minimal pain today. I will say I had a dream last night about getting to eat real food. An omelet. Even in the dream I felt guilty for it! So funny. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I did. Overall I am feeling great. Sore but not painful but I am struggling to get down all the liquids the doc wants. But I am getting enough down to stay hydrated so I am happy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. Just now jumping in here because I had the sleeve on 3/28. I feel okay mostly, just sore but I am really struggling with getting in my liquids. I feel like I am going to float away from effort. How in the world could you possibly get 64 oz down in a day is beyond me! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
