  1. Just take it one step at a time. Write out a list of what you need to do and what to buy and cross them off as you do it. You will see it's not that overwhelming.

Don't worry about getting the wrong things. As time goes by you will figure out what you like and what works for you.

    You can do it

Thank you. I have started a list. I just went shopping on Amazon for all my Vitamins. Also bought a food scale that goes lower than my current one. Next on my list.... slippers and food lol.

  2. I went to my presurgery appointment today. I am scheduled for the sleeve on 6/29. They went over diet, Vitamins, what to expect, etc.... The packet of information they gave me is SO overwhelming. I am a black and white person, and all these options are driving me insane. I don't know where to start with what to buy to have at home for when I get home from surgery... my surgeon does a clear/full liquid diet. I don't know which Vitamins to buy, each type of Vitamin has several options! This almost makes me want to not have surgery, I feel like I am already failing.

  3. Hello! I was just wondering if anyone has pcos and has been sleeved and was able to get pregnant later on down the road. I have a 3 year old but we had to go through fertility treatments to get him. I am hoping it will be much easier once I am sleeved and at goal weight when we try again. I know this won't be till at least a year post op, just wondering if anyone has been able to.

  4. I had the gastric sleeve done 2 and 1/2 years ago and I lost 70 pounds. I have kept it off and I love my sleeve. I follow my diet and I'm very comfortable with the sleeve but unfortunately I have developed severe Reflux and Gerd and no amount of medications helps me. I am going to do a revision to a bypass just to keep from getting esophageal cancer. I prefer the Sleeve and I'm sad I'm having to get the bypass but I have no choice at this point. For all of you who are undecided, if you have heartburn or acid reflux, go with the bypass, otherwise the sleeve is awesome. I'll be doing my revision in August.

Did you have reflex prior to surgery?

  5. Hey everyone! I am still preop with no surgery date yet, I am currently taking a preop skills class. I am just wondering because it crossed my mind-can you take medicine after surgery? I know a lot of people get taken off most meds but I have a heart condition that I will be on the meds for life. What about birth control? I do not want any birth control implants anywhere lol. Thanks all!

  6. I know every hospital is different. But tomorrow I start my pre-op skills class. I go for six weeks every other week. What type of things should I expect at the class? My insurance only requires three months of surprised weight loss. I have one more appointment on April 27th. My last pre-op class is May 3rd. Do you do a diet during the class of liquids? Do you submit for health insurance approval during the class? I'm so nervous. :(
