Bladder Pressure because of Surgery!
KristenLe replied to curlysue86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Were you catheterized? It could be an inflammation of your bladder wall. Ask about taking pyridium (Rx) - it can often help with the pain. -
Don't go by what BCBS said. They are often wrong. Call your surgeon's office.

@@gina171 I think the only time it could be a concern is if you had kidney disease. I imagine even then you'd have to have higher amounts to cause problems.

Tight chest
KristenLe replied to Tina Marie Pecchillo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Call your surgeon. This could be pneumonia, a blood clot, or just a pulled muscle. Don't take a chance. -

Not qualified for a surgery. Yet
KristenLe replied to BananaSplit's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Most insurances require you to be morbidly obese (BMI 40 >) or BMI 35-40 with comorbities. They also usually look for a history at these BMIs so I recommend not trying to gain weight to meet BMI guidelines. -
Amazing transformation!!! You are truly an inspiration! Congrats!

@@pjmckain I hope you are better soon. This is a great reminder that if we have concerns, best speaking to our surgeon rather than assuming it's the same problem as others experienced. Glad you went to ER!

KristenLe replied to Marie1120's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe you could show her some of the research and info you learned. That may make her more comfortable. Have you been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? That often goes along with HS. Just tell your friend exactly how you feel and that you really could use her support. Listen to her concerns and fears. Try to help her understand.
