Good luck with your surgery! Take it slow and follow your plan - it's major surgery so it'll take time to heal.
  2. @@provenzee the responses were in reaction to the seriousness of the OPs eating pizza 12 days post op. It's actually hard to believe that the concern was whether her stomach was small enough. My response and many others were to make sure the OP knew that this was extremely dangerous. It's not a matter of just eating carbs and impacting weight loss or how much someone can eat - it's about possibly causing life threatening complications. Many of us do have or had food issues and if they are uncontrolled they need to be addressed ASAP. It's scary to see so many similar posts of people not following physician orders post-op. My response was out of concern.

    Stool softner?

My plan says try drinking lots of fluids and walking, baby prunes, benefiber (only if well hydrated or will make things worse), stool softener and if none of that works 1/2 dose milk of magnesia.
  4. Nope I have had nothing done since surgery in Jan. I don't even know what an endoscope and stricture are?You need to get an appointment with your surgeon. You should not still feel this bad. Please call ASAP and hopefully they'll figure out the problem.
  5. Wow - incredible!!! Congrats @@BigTink2LilTink
  6. @@ssflbelle Have they done an endoscopy to see if you might have a stricture?
  7. Call and get clarification. My plan had very specific quantities and foods to eat (and to avoid). No bread, dough, pasta, rice (long term). You may not feel full during this stage. Don't test it though. You really can do some serious damage.

    5 Days Post-Op- Pain

@@Cocojh I believe hernia repair makes post-op more painful. You are healing and going to be sore. Take it easy. I would not go back to work that soon. I'm taking 4-6 weeks.

    My therapist disapproves sleeve?

Go to a therapist who deals with Bariatric Surgery. I went for a few sessions for emotional eating. It's best to get some help before surgery even if it's something you only do on occasion. Stress can be difficult post-op and learning how not to turn to food will help tremendously.
  14. @@rebcal First thing - get something to help you poop. That may be a good part of the problem. Also - have you talked to your surgeon about any of this? This doesn't sound "normal" for 3 months out. Maybe they could try you on an anti-nausea med. Have you tried eating soft foods again - greek yogurt, cottage cheese, homemade protein shakes, soup, etc ? I hope you can figure out what is going on because you shouldn't have to live like that. You're not supposed to be sick all the time. Stay strong!

    Having a baby?

You can get pregnant immediately ???? but you shouldn't get pregnant for 18-24 months post op. This was drilled into my heads several times even though I'm too old to have children! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App Do you know the most effective form of birth control for the sleeve? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App I think IUD. I haven't talked to my surgeon about my oral contraception yet (it would be just my luck to get pregnant at 48 years old!) Lol Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

  20. Sleeve surgery is not usually recommended for people with GERD because it can make it worse. When deciding which surgery to have this was something my Dr spoke to me about. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
