I second what @@4MRB4PHOTO said. I work 12 - 18 hour days so I completely understand not having time to make healthy meals which is why I prep everything on the weekend. I have every lunch, dinner, and snack made for the week so I never have to worry about it. Having everything made and ready also means I can't use the excuse of not having something on hand to eat crap lying around at work. Plus, because I made everything, I know exactly what's in it. I've developed a bit of a tupperware collection!

@@Jazziminna - Yes he does need to step up his game. Remind him the three biggest causes of ED - weight/smoking/lack of exercise. If he wants to be in "the game" he better get moving. I feel like I'm 19 again at 52, so watch out. (yes I am the "reformed whore at the revival service" here...I used to smoke too)

I'm set for 4/13 ...no time yet. Started my program in May 2015 so it's been a long process. The nice part is that there is no pre op diet per say. Only Clear liquids the day before. Even I can do that. . . Jello counts.

@@mskittykat03 I think you may be onto something re: our friends and family members not wanting change. We chose it, they got drafted. They have to deal with us not cooking unhealthy foods anymore, not looking the way they're used to seeing us, not going on ice cream runs with them, plus others might find us more attractive and they might feel insecure, etc. They're not going to see the benefits of us becoming more active and participatory until it happens, so from their perspective, it just looks like a lot of stuff they didn't sign up for.

I'm not finding many people in my life who are supportive. It's okay with me, I knew how they felt about the procedure before I made a decision so I've made the decision to not discuss with those individuals. It is not their place to make such judgements about how we handle our health. I've only shared with my significant other who is incredibly helpful and a few friends, not my family as they do not believe someone my size needs surgery. We all need to do what is best for our health, not do what our friends and family want us to do.
I know my family loves me but that is the problem, they love me as is. Maybe they are the ones afraid of change?

@@Lexigurl82 first and foremost let me give ya a hearty Hells Yes for being a fellow Georgian. Much respect. You know heat & humidity and have endured.
On a bigger level, let me say that you have my further respect for getting your sleeve and making the changes you wanted to make.
I am saddened by your story. It is full of pain. You've endured a lot and that is evident. I am sorry that he didn't come around and instead chose to go a different route. He'll be reminded of how bad of a move that was after it dawns on him that it's too late.
You have your priorities right, though....being a mother and also getting her health under control. Both will be rewarding in ways that you'll see down the road. Now, however, you are just making an investment in something that will become more tangible and pay great future dividends.
He'll be left with whatever flames he can conjure up. You, however, will be a prize......a real treasure....that worthy dudes will come after in force.
Stay the course and keep your priorities in order. You are doing right. Right will be done by you and to you. Hang tough and stay true to yourself.

for me Im a thrift store junkie, I almost live to thrift now. lol Considering all the size changes ive had it was necessary. but i also love the outlets stores too. Lucky is my favorite, brand and store. Lucky jeans I have 5 pair now, 4 thrifted, i also have thrfted armani, versace, vineyard vines, etc. my whole wardrobe is now upper end name stuff, except my levis, i stil love a great pair of button fly levis. Never used to like button fly, being so fat made it impractical.
But it is fun to go to like, the under armour store or nike and know they have my size. going from a 5x shirt to a medium, and 56 pants to a med-small or 32 waist is , well im sure you will know the feeling. Keep it up! Oh and i got a good sized gift card for nordstrom last christmas, that was fun shopping. i bought moisturizer lol and other stuff, a pair of noth face gloves to match my North face jacket i bought on an online site for 60 bucks with the tags still on it, and some polo socks. Thats a new one is full length socks. I could never wear them before because of huge circulation issues, no i love socks! i have a bunch of wacky pairs, striped in many colors, purple and green, red an yellow, i have thor, the hulk, captain america, dr strange lol yeah im sort of living the youth i ididnt have being fat. Its so much fun, its like playing barbie dress up. except im a guy and dont have dolls, etc.

I was suppose to have it on March 23 but my potassium was dangerously low so they rescheduled for April 19th.

I'm using a mix of Unjury (chocolate splendor and unflavored) as well as EAS carb control ready-made shakes for when I need one to grab-and-go. I'm easily hitting 100g protein each day.

I am so so so happy! I just did my last drs visit yesterday and they submitted my paperwork today and I got an approval. I do not have to do the psych evaluation. O I almost forgot surgery date April 12th.
