I'm a little freaked out and I'm hoping for some guidance from this group of veterans. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on April 4. I have been told that I will go home on the same day. I was visiting with some newly sleeved ladies in the doctor's waiting room and heard that some stayed overnight and some went home the same day. I had an appointment today with the nutritionist and I asked what determined if I stay overnight or go home same day. She said that since I was self pay, I would go home same day but that some insurance requires an overnight stay. Now I'm freaked out. Has anyone gone home the day of surgery? Can you tell me if you did ok without a nurse that first night? Should I tell him that I'll pay for the night to be able to stay? Help! Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

Hi there! I'm a long time stalker and first time poster. I'm scheduled to have surgery on April 4. My surgeon doesn't have leads on an active support group that meets in the Dallas area.
