    Waking up after surgery

Ya I think there was oxygen. Waking up from surgery is always disorienting and bizarre. It just feels like you were out for 5 minutes. I usually wake up crying from just being confused. It's no big deal, you'll do great! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    MARCH SLEEVERS?

Sleeved march 28th.. down 80 lbs! HW 291 SW 289 CW 210.. I'm currently in a little stall but I don't think it's anything too worrisome. I have been eating more lately, 5x per day instead of 3, which is what I was doing. I'm more hungry but making good food choices. How's everyone else? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Which Food Did (Or Will) You Miss the Most?

Breakfast burritos and quessadillas from the taco shop. It's what got me in this position. I do miss them but I figure at some point, I can take a bite of someone else's lol. Otherwise, there's no way I could eat that. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App Were not supposed to have almonds?? That's my every day snack! Salad

I have been eating lettuce, mainly dark leafy greens or spinach since about 2 months out. It's not filling, so it's one of those slider foods.. but I've never had any issues with it. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Weight Stall

As you know, it's totally normal, and you've done nothing wrong. 10 days you're just healing and weight loss isn't the main goal right now. Focus on healing, liquids and Protein. Good luck, you'll be fine! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  6. It's totally normal.. it will last for a while, maybe like a month. Don't worry about it unless it looks infected. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Feeling Lost

Week 3 Is a normal stall that mostly everyone gets. Don't expect weight loss till week 6. Theres no need to beat yourself up over Chinese food. Yes, you could have hurt your body. However, you can learn from this lesson that getting some help for that anxiety, depression and eating disorder is really important and that the sleeve Is not a magic bullet. You will be OK. 9. It's normal to feel nervous or want to back out. You have to be real with yourself and ask yourself where you'll be in a year, 5 years, 10 years if you continue on your path you've been on? If you're like me, you can't do it on your own, or else you already would have. The problem with your eating, is that you've allowed yourself to believe the lie that it is giving you a quality life. It is not. It is giving you a shorter, tougher and sadder life. Don't let your food addiction trick you. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  10. Mine stalls around my period, or pms but then I lose a few pounds in like 1 day so it's not really a stall. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Things you wish you'd known.

I don't wish I knew how nauseated I would be, or I might not have done it! This was the best choice for me. I would have never been able to lose the weight like I have if I hadn't done it. I wish I knew how much better I would feel and I would have done it sooner. I also somewhat wish I knew how my personality would change. I don't take as much shit from people. I'm OK with that. 13. Totally normal. You'll see some loss at about 2 weeks out, then have a stall at 3 weeks. Real weight loss happens after 6 weeks when your body is more healed. It's totally normal. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Is anyone out there a vegetarian?

I am pescetarian, meaning I eat fish but no other meat. I get a lot of Protein from Beans, nuts, tofu, and fish. I don't always make my protein goals but that's mostly because I can't eat very much and so even if i was eating animal based protein, it'd be the same issue. 17. After day 3 it really gets easier. It's hilarious because once you have the surgery, u laugh at how you were dying to slurp up every bit of broth, Protein shake, etc. And now u can take like 3 sips haha. Don't cheat, just push forward. Drink a lot of Water. I did my pre op and quit smoking at the same time. It's possible, just push through the pain Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Lol my wife and I had surgery the same day. I was in a living hell, and as I'm dry heaving very loudly, I can hear her ask the nurse "is it weird that I don't feel nauseous or sore at all??".. I literally wanted to kill her lol. So anyway, you're good. Everyone's different. Be happy. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  22. I am 10 lbs away from being considered over weight and not obese.. lol its the small things in this journey that matter! I can't wait to be over weight lol Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  23. I seriously didn't know I could do it. I hoped I could do it. I wanted to do it, but I didn't even know what do it meant. I knew I couldn't do it on my own. Even with lots of reading about it, you don't really get what it means to not be able to eat more than a few bites.. when I experienced that, it's when I knew I could do it Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Do You Need to Provide Unhealthy Foods for Others?

My kids are really into eating healthy, we watch many food documentaries with them. We make kid friendly healthy food. We will make veggie wraps, or really cool Soups, Pasta out of zucchini, sloppy joes out of shredded carrots. If it's your kids you're worried about, you don't have to keep processed junk around. I literally can't have that food in my house or I would eventually eat it Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
