I had mine on Monday too I wasn't released till early Wednesday. Since home I did have quite a bit of gas pain but it subsided the more I walked. I am not really in pain and have not taken any since Wednesday. I have been able to get all my Water in and all my Protein required at least 70 grams. I am gonna weigh my self today to see if I have lost any weight I am so ready to be over the liquid diet. Look forward to hearing ya'lls good experience.

I had surgery on Monday and am home recovering. On the first day, I was groggy and disoriented. I slept most of the day, but I did get up to walk and I even did a little deep breathing/coughing. The second day, I walked more and did my breathing/coughing exercises. I was full of gas: I felt like a beached whale. I didn't have pain so much as discomfort in the hospital, from the gas and the incisions. They let me go home that day and I've been sleeping as much as possible ever since. I am so tired. Even to be up and awake for an hour takes so much out of me.
Painkillers make me vomit, so they gave me Tylenol and ibuprofen (super-strength IV formulations) in the hospital. At home, I've been taking regular ibuprofen and extra-strength Tylenol.
Today is Thurs, and the gas has gone down quite a bit. Hallelujah for that. Can't wait till it's all gone.
It is surprising and weird to only be able to drink a little tiny bit at a time. I'm not getting anywhere near 64 oz of liquids right now. Hoping to improve today!
I keep thinking, "What on earth did I do to myself?!"

After surgery it gets much easier hunger wise, The liquids are boring but the hunger isn't there...

Got my date yesterday...March 14. It was quite a process getting on the calendar. Now that it's official, it feels very overwhelmingly real. Are all of these roller coaster emotions natural?!?!

Well I am having the sleeve tomorrow and have been so ready to go get my new life started. I have had weight issues all my life through high school all through my time in the Corp and really bad after getting out. I know I am ready and don't care what the discomfort will be after the surgery cause the discomfort of being over weight is greater..... something has clicked and I don't look at food for enjoyment as much as something needed to live. I want to go do activities that I have not been able to do cause of my weight or lack of endurance like skydiving, scuba diving, and more. I am thinking I want to get in such good shape and become a trainer for bariatric patients to help them succeed. I hope I am able to keep myself motivated but have joined on here so that I can get words of encouragement. Thanks
